Today, I have noticed that my account is two years old. It might have turned two a week ago, I'm not sure. Anyway, here's a bit of history:
On this day(during the last week) two years ago, I have made an account on SimplePlanes.com. I have had some experience with this game beforehand, before the tall landing gears, fuselage blocks, or floating blocks. Back then, my uncle was showing me how to pirate games for Android, and knowing I like planes, he chose this game to demonstrate on.
About a year later, I was bored, and I remembered this game. So I pirated it again. As an officially unemployed guy without a bank account, that was much easier than actually buying it.
I started building planes. My very first attempt was somewhat decent, and I wanted to share it with others, so I made an account, originally called MaleticAirplanes, to post it. It wasn't much of a success, not scoring any upvotes until I became popular, but that didn't stop me from trying.
I was building planes, getting better and better at that. And then, disaster struck. I made this plane. It was ugly even by my standards at the time. I was having second thoughts about uploading it. But, when I did, it got featured. I didn't want to be best known for that plane. I seriously considered deleting my account and starting over. However, a friend talked me out of that. On the same plane, I have received advice from Cedy117 to make smaller wings. That was really a problem I was dragging from my very first plane. I didn't apply that advice at first, as I didn't know how to make heavy planes fly with realistic wings. So, annoyed with that, I decided to focus on ships.
I made my first ship, and I liked it. So I made six more. Making ships was different than making planes. It gave new life to the game. Still, at the time, I didn't know that one day I'll be one of community's best shipbuilders.
I progressed quickly, especially in ship building. Soon, I was added to a Hangouts group that would later become SimplePlanes Masters, after discovering how to make a propeller engine work under water. Backed by the group, I advanced in build quality even faster, and reached Platinum rank three months and two days after making an account. I have changed my username to my current one.
Around that time, I had a friend who owed me some money, and who had a bank account. I decided to use the opportunity to finally actually buy SimplePlanes.
Time went by, and the phone I was playing on began to fail. Builds I was making at the time took their toll. Due to frequent overheating it had suffered damage to the battery and processor. So I had to buy a new device.
Device I choose is a Toshiba laptop. I bought it second hand, as somewhat upgraded. This time, I have already prepared the stage for buying the game. I have loaned the same friend some money weeks earlier, and again, made him buy me a game as a way to repay.
On the laptop, I could do so much more. Being able to actually see what I'm doing, and being able to use almost three times as many parts as on the phone allowed my build quality to explode. Here's an example of my late mobile build, and my early Laptop build. So I progressed even faster.
Today, I'm 5th highest ranking user in the community, followed by over 600 people, and having 127 000 points.
I would like to thank the whole community and SimplePlanes Masters group for long term support, Dev team for making this game more interesting every few months, and my friends here, too numerous to name all, for being there for me.
For the end I would like to reveal my current project:
Coming soon

@EternalDarkness ah, ok. 👌
@Stellarlabs such was the situacion. I bought the game as soon as I could. For both platform I'm using. Consider it more of a free trial period. Once I was sure I want to have the game, I found a way to buy it.
I like everything except the pirating part......
@Tully2001 congratulations. Let's see if you can make a prettier post.
