My Dog...

790 Amiller822  6.8 years ago

Today, January 20 my 18 year old dog just died. He’s been with me my entire life. My little sister had ran into my ran crying and said,”There’s something wrong with Charlie.” So I come down stairs to see him laying on the ground panting seemingly paralyzed. Then he just stops. I’m just typing this crying.

My cat had kidney failure when i was 7 and on my holiday and my dad took her to the vets to put her down. I hated that holiday and my parents thought it was a good idea cause i was on holiday in portugal, i thought she was like be but a cat and a female (cuz im a male octopus :/ ) because she had kidney failure like me

My grandparents' dog died when I was like 7, it got some strange and rare decease and died. It was really good, and big, when I was around 4, my mother told me that I was horsing on her back. I even have a photo of that))

I had close to the same thing happen. I realized my 13 year old dog had a tumor on his leg and didn't think of it because he was acting fine. A few weeks later he could barely walk and then we had to put him down. this was in late October. I feel your pain and hopefully you can remember him and be happy that you had him/ her

And because of that they are living like they were meant to, like they’re wild animal instincts want them to.

@Awsomur i have two cats, and they both live all the time outside because my mom has alergy and can keep only animals with hair (like Yorkshire Terrier, my doggo actually) @Amiller822 I feel so sorry for you. I wish animals could live as long as people do...

Since he was so old his schedule was sleep till 11:00, walk around the house for a little, rest for awhile, fall asleep at 8:00 PM, then repeat @InternationalAircraftCompany

Hope my dog goes to a different part of dog heaven than yours, my dog’s schedule is this:

    -wake up in the morning
-howl and sniff around the yard for a while
    -sleep when no one’s home
-wake up and howl when I get home from school
-do this for a couple hours
    -sleep until about 5am
    -restart schedule
I don’t think your dog would enjoy being around mine

@Amiller822 there is always a time where you will lose someone important in your life. I have lost a few people over time. You just got to keep going. Your dog is in a better place now. Just keep going and don't let this shut down your life. We are here... The loss of something is always something hard to go through. Just let the sadness take its toll.

    Some random cat talk:
Indoor cats are supposed to live 18-20 years. I always let my cat outside at night and he’s 11 this year. He also stays outside most of the day. That’s because, if you ask me, an outdoor animal that’s been vaccinated and has a steady supply of food will be much happier than one that’ cooped inside all it’s life. Plus I live in a calm neighborhood so he’s safe.

And don’t take this the wrong way, but you should be happy your dog lived that long in the first place. They’re only supposed to survive 10-13 years.

Ripperonis. I lost both of my dogs when I was twelve, I know how you feel. But, sad to say, they come and go.

I am so sorry for your loss. Personally, I’ve always been a cat person but I know all to well what it’s like to loose an animal.
