If you're going to spend hours building something, give it a description when you post it! It doesn't need to be amazingly long, or even in complete senteces!
Fly it, drive it, test it. Let us know what quirks to look out for. Tell us why you wanted to build it. Tell us something so that we know you put some effort into it. It doesn't have to be perfect, just make it seem like you tried, that's all we're looking for.
I prefer my builds having backstories, that's why it takes me a while to come up with a description.
I agree. If you spend a long time on a build or project, at least spend a minimum of 10-20 seconds to type a description, I mean come on people!
@Mostly Oh! Well, yes. I guess you are right, it is important to do things ones own way. I try to support people who struggle with English, for instance. But you really do owe it to yourself to do your work justice
@F104Deathtrap I know, I read, I was talking about build with or without hours spent :/
@Mostly "If you're going to spend hours"
I didn't say everything needs an in depth description. What I am saying is that if you want people to take the time to notice, download and upvote then you need to take the time to present it. Obviously, that does not apply to everything.
You don't need a description for everything you post
People just have different methods of presentation, and that's part of what makes this site nice.
yeah I am bad at that.
@F104Deathtrap I just write 'description comming soon' and if it is a minor build that im not expecting people to love as much as my strv 103 b and my other popular ones i just use the in-game one
@blackvultureaeroespace Not a problem at all.
@Minecraftpoweer I do that. I write "Please stand by for details" on the pozt and then copy-paste the real description onto the web page. But that's only necessary if you're posting a relatively long description.
I have a problem, my descriptions are book-length. I really like to write narrations
Oh yeah, glad those are helpful @Minecraftpoweer
I Think that people make it later in the web because you can do more in the web than i game, i started doing that after i saw @chancey21 tips post XD alst thx for that @chancey21
I find my descriptions to long and I have to shorten them
Exactly why my trainer challenge had a "description" requirement that was worth 10 points.
