As an old H.A.W.X player, yesterday I showed my brother my newest planes on SP to ask him how they handled and what to imrove, and we both agreed in something, we need a radar circle in chase camera, not only in cockpit, but in chase. why? because most arcade combat games have that, including H.A.W.X, it would make targeting a lot easier for players and would add to the new tech, since we only have 1950's stuff in this game. also I would like to be added a multi-target missile. how it works? once you've selected this missile, you can target up to 4 targets at a time, it will take as much time to target as an Interceptor. the ideal is that you have at least 4 missiles of this kind installed in your plane, and when it targets the 4 planes, the 4 missiles are fired each one to their own target. it would have a range of 12 miles, since targeting is kinda slow, they would end up firing at 9 miles depending on your plane's speed.
Note: it is not mandatory to have 4 targets to fire, it will target from 1 to 4 targets at a time, so if you have 2 or 3 targets, just press fire and it should hit. this missiles can easily be avoided with flares, so be careful.

I know it's no chase view, but there is a funky tree imput you can put in a label and make a radar for your cockpit.
Maybe this could be added to SR2 with space weapons
@F104Deathtrap btw, what do you think of my newer aircrafts in terms of performance?
@marcox43 thx! I hope some of this stuff gets implemented someday, the 4 target missile would be a bti harder, but the chase camera HUD should be easy to implement.
AGM-84 "Harpoon" It entered service in the late 70's.
Anyway, guided missiles go back to the 50's, yes. But it is important to keep in mind that none of them worked as they do in this game. Heads up display (or almost any display at all!), target selection, look down shoot down, 360° scanning, the list goes on and on. I'm pretty sure you know all this stuff, but it's fun for me to talk about it with someone. Anyway, good luck with your idea.
@F104Deathtrap Interceptor(aka AIM7 Sparrow) was developed in 1948 and saw first use around 1952 or later. the Guradian (aka AIM9 Sidewinder) entered service in 1956.
the only "modern" stuff would be the air to ground missiles, the Inferno (aka AGM Hellfire) was developed in 1974, wich is very similar to the Brimstone(british) developed in 1996, and the Cleaver that is a U.S cruise missile that I can't remember the name.
"1950's stuff"
WAT?
This is so true, I agree, the missles May look modern but they are not plus we don’t have good tech.
