What is your take on the F-35. I personally don’t really like because of the cost of developing it and how it replaces a bunch of planes. I feel like it does to much. Like the A-10 is an example. The A-10 is being replaced by the F-35. I don’t see why America should do that. It has proven itself countless times. It was made for one thing and it does it pretty well. But the F-35 is made for many things to replace it. I feel like the F-35 is going to do to much and not be really effective in anything. Well, that’s my opinion on it. What is yours?
Ok@Brields95
@Mercyaircraftcorporation that's out dated information. As of yet the airforce is still looking too rewing the A-10.
@spefyjerbf In the A-10 Wikipedia page, it says it going to be replaced by the F-35
Can you link a source that says that the F-35 will replace the A-10? I am aware of the "flyoff", but I do not see any conclusive results.
Oh, I didn’t know that. @EternalDarkness
Replacing an armored purpose-made attacker with a multirole that is as durable as a wet paper... Genius move.
@Mercyaircraftcorporation Soviets failed? So, Su-25 doesn't exist? Or Il-2 Sturmovik? Also, technically, only Soviets actually succeeded at making a flying tank.
Yes, the Soviets tried to make a flying tank, they failed. Americans tried making a flying tank and they succeeded @WarHawk95
A-10 THUNDERBOLT II FOR EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
The F35 was not needed, if they really wanted to make a JSF, they should have done something like the f22. I also think that the air force should re-start production of the F-22
There is no physical way possible it can replace the Warthog, it only has an internal bay, it can carry half of the weapons an A-10 can.
Honestly I think it's just a huge scam. Like L.Ms version of the spruce goose.
It needs to be reworked.
Once they fix everything it has potential..... but then again I'm not a big fan of it
