I understand group projects. Even community projects. But please keep them reasonable. Do not post a single fuselage block and tell others to add a part to it. Post a build, or a decent portion of one, and ask others to add more to it. Not one part, but something meaningful, like custom wings or landing gear.
Zero effort "add a part and pass it around" posts are spam, and you are welcome to report them as such.
@FeiWu oh, you can't post pictures in comments.
I like the fact that every single time so far, whenever EternalDarkness makes a forum posts on rules, it's always a problem for noobs
@EternalDarkness I just copied the exact same thing into the forum post and it worked.
@FeiWu you can. You're either using Imgur, where you need to remove "s" from "https", or you're doing it wrong.
@EternalDarkness
Well then I think the home page is rigged
And how come I can't post pictures in comments?
I make a post to show you then.
here
@FeiWu home page is essentially "highest rated" of the week. If two builds have the same number of upvotes, the one placed higher is the one with more upvotes per hours since posting.
@EternalDarkness You also talked about the home page. How does that work? I have an airplane with 25 upvotes, but when I click "MORE", my plane is not on the second page, where there is another plane with 25 upvotes. Why could that be?
@EternalDarkness
Yes.
I have fallen for this before, and I have made a change to my own challenges lol. I hope more people can do this because I know most people cannot judge challenges well (even some silver and gold who get their fame by posting lots of effortless spam)
Ok thank you for clarifying. I don't like spam either and i want to follow the law always when i can.
@EternalDarkness
@JeskoGoesVROOM I usually don't strike for this. However, nice of you to give it up.
@TurtlesThatFly it is considered spam because those effortless builds that often don't even function are clogging up the front page and jet streams, hiding actual builds that people have invested weeks into. When the trend starts, you can see dozens of such posts a day.
i'm not gonna participate in any more of these from now on.
especially so if it's ban or strike worthy.
i don't need a 2nd account ban, i only ever made this account to view comments and download 800+ part planes and upload my stuff incase people want to try it out, i didn't come here to flex, i didn't come here to gain fake internet "points" that have literally no value.
sorry to anybody whom i offended, i have a mean talking style.
Because people add like, one block, and it get's to be really stupid and annoying. @TurtlesThatFly
TBH I don't really get why this is spam. It's just a type of challenge that people do, they upload their own addition, then pass it on. Besides, they aren't just posting a bunch of it, and it still offers the same results from similar ones.
Just wondering why it's considered spam, that's all.
@SeikaSeikaTheMan I pinned it to address the resurgence of this trend.
@Kernels as soon as people are contributing to the build ina meaningful way.
@Kernels from what i would think yes. im not a mod so if anything pass it by one, but if its a whole tail section or cockpit i think it might be fine :)
They're always innovating, aren't they?
for some reason this forum blew up again
.
.
it's 1.6 years old lmao
@EternalDarkness massive respect to you man I know I could never be a mod. If I do a pass it on thing can I make like a cockpit or a tail section and it still allowed right it just cant be a 1 part build?
Ok
"1.6 years ago"
daym i guess it got very annoying back then
on the unrelated note who is using iPadOS 14 to write Comments?
I’m not sure why I always get so annoyed when I see an “add a part and pass it on” post, but at least it’s being addressed.
Thank God ya'll said something abt this
I mean these were fun, but it only was fun when you could add your own creative spin to it
