I decided to take up a project in response to this forum asking about the full history of SimplePlanes.
I am making a timeline to show every major event in SimplePlanes history. I want this timeline to be as deep into the history of the game as possible.
Any feedback from fellow aviation historians is very much appreciated.
What I currently have included (and completed):
~SP launch
~The Great Jelly Crisis of 2016
~The first mod
~Mattangi's Death
What I am working on (precise info/dates needed)
~The ccooper/zed crisis (need accurate timeframe)
All help and suggestions appreciated, this can be a community project.
Also 2.9 years ago is when not only the ccooper thing happened but there seemed to be a number of users going after people. That’s also when Seeras, Squirrel and Cedy117 were made mods. I think it’s safe to say that around that time could be the simple planes “dark ages” if you will...
What controversy’s? Also I got TheColonel that harassed PlanesofOld and other users around 3.0 years ago till 2.6 years ago, time frame is very shaky cause Colonel made lots of accounts. Also I’d @ PlanesofOld for more on it and let him tell it. You also can’t forget hypnotoads leaving 3.6 years ago and how everyone thought he was going to return. I’ll go see what else I can find!~ @ForeverPie

ccooper left because he was insulted by the controversy surrounding him, and apparently he was being targeted by multiple users.
Did some digging and last time I’d been in contact with him was about 2.8 years ago, safe to assume he left then and made the zed account. Also can I ask why he left? I heard a little bit about it but not the full thing. Thanks~ Btw I have some other events that’d I’d think would make a great addition to the timeline if you’d like me to share them!
I’ll try looking through my old account to see if I can’t find anything on timeframes for ccooper/zed, I was also wondering if you were gonna include smaller events like arguments, users leaving, and other things.~
