Auto Credit Based on ahappyape's Project Fast 2.1k (now defunct)

Just for a fellow builder, an excellent designer ahappyape. Both of us curious how much impact inlets will have, vs drag points l. its a good balance, his design favors least drag, my slight tweak favors more air to the engines, so which will prove faster? please have a go at both, his should be a successor to this. All the best guys.

Looks great! The engines are at the back of the plane but the nozzles are in the front, separated by wings. XD

@ZFM99 lol. Dude you can't think like that. Have you seen my first planes? They were either copies with spikey wings and nothing else, or unflyable atrocities. It's all gotta start somewhere. Still lol at your comment t though, not its meaning, just your usual delivery with style

@hypnotoad As always, I appreciate your kindness. But I really wasn't trying to plug the plane; though I admit that I am fond of citing it as an example, it is truthfully quite boring to fly and not worth your time. Take care!

@ABC123 I will always be genuine chap, I know sometimes I come across as perhaps over enthused, but I do value your input and I find that even simple additions or thoughts make me think, and will always contribute to the whole, that's aside, I am thankful that you did create that pioneer plane, I will make a note to download and tinker with it. As you say it's great when up high, but rather tedious at low altitude. All the best mate

@hypnotoad Thank you very much for humoring me, I appreciate that. I should add that in the case of a plane like the one I mentioned, it is probably not worthwhile to do what I did and make a crazy intake/engine ratio, because it becomes rather tedious and boring to spend several minutes gaining altitude at low speed just to get to the "good" part of the flight. Not suitable for a game like this, where I expect most people like to fly, crash, and repeat very quickly.

@hypnotoad I like low and fast, just because it looks badass.

@ABC123 thank you for your input sir. I will always be continually learning, and to have your advise is always welcome. I had assumed there would come a point that it it would no longer become useful and there for counter productive, your experience yells us it will add but as you say only useful as high altitude. This is expect is true in the real world too, given the air is thinner. Thanks again sir, nice to hear from you

Thought I'd pitch in. Yes, intakes add drag but improve high-altitude performance. A good example is a plane I made around two months ago called "pioneer", it has only one engine but many, many intakes. It's quite slow at low altitude, probably under 500mph max at sea level, but at 65,000 ft it can go over 1300, and it can get to over 130,000 ft. That is the trade off.

@ahappyape agreed dude, there are a lot of golden oldie lovers out there. Each to their of course but I totally agree. I love the freedom this offers you, and I can't help but look to the future. As for what's next. I have no idea. I'd say you and I are alike in that we will free form design, work and perfect what we come up with as we go.

@hypnotoad Dont think its too bad actually! It was only a proof of concept anyways. Its weird people seem to favour the old replica planes on this game - to the future I say! I appreciate you putting effort into this too. Its been so much fun. What shall we make next?
