The Challenge

Hello all, and welcome to my second challenge (the first one was my Never Built Challenge.)

Backstory

It's 1989, and the first D-01-200 rolls off the assembly line. For a brand-new aircraft series, it's gained some popularity, having 10 customers already.

However, 10 is not enough, and this new plane needs more customers.

Your task: place an airline livery on the D-01-200, a plane that I designed. It can only be this plane, and not anything else.

As such, you are constrained by the dimensions of this plane, and your skill and creativity will be needed to do this challenge, and win it.

Overall Rules

• Must be a successor to this post. If the auto-credit is broken, tag a moderator.
• No adding any additional parts that aren't part of the livery.
• Must follow the below guidelines.
• Description must have lore (I'll explain it below).

All entries that fail to follow the rules will be disqualified, and will not be featured here.

You can submit a maximum of 2 entries (I won't count disqualified builds).

Categories

There are 2 types of liveries that you can make: Replica or Fictional.

Replica

Place a livery from a real airline onto this plane.

Like this one. (Airline: VARIG)

It's pretty simple, you can use any airline you like (except the one above.)

However:

The D-01 was released in 1989. Thus, any airlines that went bankrupt before 1989 will be rejected.

If the livery design is from before 1989, I will also reject it.

E.g. Pan Am is a (kinda) valid airline, but if you use the 1960s livery, I will still reject it.

70s and early 80s liveries can still be accepted.

Fictional

This is where you can truly let your imagination shine.

Place a livery from an airline that you created.

An example is a short-haul low-cost airline that I created, Island System Airways.

Lore

Since the D-01 is a fictional aircraft after all, in your description, you have to write about:
- when the airline received its first D-01;
- how many are in service.

That's the bare minimum; if you could write it in a more detailed manner, I'll be more impressed. Just use your imagination.

Judging

I will rate every (approved) build out of 15, and the score I give will be based on how impressed I am with your livery.

Things that can give you higher marks:

• Having a wider range of colours in your chosen livery (I really don't like plain liveries like Japan Airlines's)
• Advanced livery techniques (I have a tutorial on this, link is below)
• Detailed lore
• Thumbnails taken in the game itself, not in the designer. Bonus marks for use of Reshade/photo editing.
