Results for the D-01 Livery Challenge
It's been 2 days since the livery challenge on my fictional airliner, the D-01-200, ended, and I've finally gotten to this post.
The delay happened mostly because I was trying to finalise the design of my next airliner, the D-02. Through much consideration, the D-02's design abruptly changed from a high-wing airliner (like the Avro RJ100) to a low-wing one (like the E190).
I'm proud to say that the overall structure and flight model of the D-02 has been finished, and I'm working on the landing gear now.
Anyway, enough about me, let's get into it!
15 days, 32 entries.
This was certainly groundbreaking; I didn't expect to get so many entries. So really, thank you all for your support!
Despite the many entries, of course, only 7 fully met my standards, and the ones that really impressed me have won this challenge.
As promised, I'll award 15 upvotes and 3 spotlights to 1st place, 10 upvotes and 2 spotlights to 2nd place, and 5 upvotes and 1 spotlight to 3rd place. 4th place will get 5 upvotes, but no spotlights.
Those in 3rd-1st place also get custom-made certificates and screenshots from me, and you can place them on your build or biography.
IMPORTANT: if you submitted 2 entries, note that only your highest-rated build will receive an award.
Quick Recap on Judging Criteria
Ultimately, what influenced my judging the most was the colour selection and build skill of the livery. That is to say, more complex and aesthetically pleasing liveries get more points.
As I graded the liveries without downloading the aircraft, the thumbnail also mattered a lot. Like I said, bad thumbnail, bad marks.
Extremely detailed lore was also what made the 1st place winners of this challenge. You'll see what a winning example of aircraft description is when you see the winning entries.
And now, let's announce all the winners...
4th Place
All 4th-place winners received 12/15

GOLD!!!!!!!! (1st Place)
Prize: 15 Upvotes+ 3 Spotlights+ Certificate
These players also made impressive liveries, but what sets them apart from silver is their extremely detailed lore, going as far as to include air crashes and posters. You can go to their posts to read their lore, and trust me, you'll be impressed too.
As such, these 2 players received a full mark, 15/15
.

As I can only spotlight 3 builds a day, it’ll probably take a week or so to issue all the prizes, so forgive me for the delay.
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes Thank you for organizing this great challenge,as well as for giving me such a high score for my work,which earned me first place.Also,I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who helped me Upvote.Without you, I would not have achieved the same level of success as I do now.Also,@PriusCat when you published your aircraft,I found that the level of detail in the painting you created,the level of detail in the lore you described,and the level of precision in the poster you created were all my shortcomings,It also inspired me to make even more delicate coatings,more detailed lore,and more exquisite posters next time.Thank you very much for showing me my shortcomings and inspiring me to do better.I also had a great time in the competition,and I would like to congratulate all the members who participated in this challenge.I hope you have a good time in this challenge.If D-02 also faces challenges,I will definitely participate. Finally,I would like to say one more thing:
Thank you all for your support!!!
Yippee!!! Gunna be honest, wasn’t expecting to win first place when I was making my livery. Especially after seeing FeiGe3s livery and lore. Not complaining though, I’m pretty happy!
Once again, congrats to everyone! I hope you all like the certificates I made just for this occasion, they're certainly something different from just having upvotes.
Prizes will be given tomorrow (later in the morning) because it's past 1am here.
@XAircraftManufacturer ok sure
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes the D-02
@XAircraftManufacturer which plane?
Please tag me on that plane, it looks so cool
Third Place! Never thought this high. Glad you've liked this much & Thank You for everybody who upvoted my works.
These were my first Livery work & Simpleplanes post at here, which now also gives me the firse prize that I got from contests. Thanks a lot for making magnificent Model, and organizing a wonderful challenge. :))
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes Yea i know i just upvote months ago
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes oh ok thanks
@CoachPickles86
1. Just trust my judgment; 3rd place isn’t so bad either. Anyway it’s because KLM liveries are too common and stripes are really simple, so it didn’t fully impress me and you get 13.
2. KLM 777 can be found here
@CoachPickles86 Thank you. It's my honor to be praised by you 😊, I will also make more aircraft coatings in the future.
@FeiGe3 FeiGe3 you did it you won so amazing, i could really happy to see that livery happening, make more planes ok
By the way i liked that picture right next at your KLM 777 plane in orange pride so good
Why im i 3rd?, so funny
@AlivePan I wake up at like 10am and it’s still holidays so
Congratulations to everyone at the challenge! I hope everyone is happy. If you're disappointed, there's still another challenge for yall!
@Brololxd Thank you for saying that. I'm very glad😊
@FeiGe3 Congrats my friend!

It was very fun competing in this challenge and very happy I got 4th and I hope everybody else had fun during this challenge
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes
There is no possible why... you're kidding. I got third place! :)
I made like the crappiest thumbnail you've ever seen, and got third place! Thanks, man!
Europa Congrats everyone
Thank you so much I am very pleased to come 2nd place.
I would also like to congratulate everyone else who participated for their efforts in this challenge.
