HISTORY

In response to the growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly aviation solutions, Mathews Aircraft introduced the S-1, an all-electric monoplane, in 2025. The S-1 marked a significant milestone in the company's history, representing its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of air travel while maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.

Development of the S-1 began in 2020, spurred by advances in battery technology and electric propulsion systems. Mathews Aircraft sought to create a lightweight, efficient aircraft suitable for short regional flights, training purposes, and recreational flying. The project was spearheaded by a team of engineers dedicated to innovation in green aviation technologies. By 2025, after extensive research, testing, and refinement, the S-1 was ready for market introduction.
