Snowflake

Though most people just call it the MuG-2, because Snowflake is roughly as intimidating of a name as "Butterfly."

The beginning of a legendary company,

the MuG-2 was the first operational aircraft designed by Mukoyan Geruvach (I know what you're thinking, don't say it). In fact, it was the first plane ever designed by Mukoyan. It certainly looked odd, but it made up for its strange appearance with fair performance. Now, in truth, the MuG-2 wasn't exactly the fastest, and its armor wasn't particularly anything special, but it brought decent armament to the table through rockets and cannons, along with nice agility. Pilots found these capabilities to be the MuG-2's main advantage over pretty much anything in the skies at the time, and it saw a surprisingly successful career during its service life. Now you too can utilize the power of the Mug.

Trivia

-The Snowflake (also sometimes just called Flake) was in the "Close Call Trio," as I call them; it, the Tracer Mk.II and the Vitiator were the last aircraft made that were intended to be in Phase 1 style, but the Vitiator was the only one among the three to successfully secure a spot in Phase 1. The Tracer and MuG-2 would've been the first and second Phase 2 planes, but I put the Warhead in first since it was legitimately the first Phase 2 plane made. But alas, the MuG and Tracer still achieve a humble 2nd and 3rd place in FSF-P2.
-The MuG-2 was intended to replace the MV-1, but this never truly happened, since the Soviet Air Force had so many MV-1s that they stayed in service up until 1961. Unfortunately for the MuG, newer and better planes had already entered service, putting both MuG out of service just two years after the MV-1.
-The MuG-2 was originally just going to be called "Flake," which was the first thing I could think of that started with F (I tried using NATO reporting name system). However, Flake sounded too short, so I switched it to Snowflake, and specifically Snowflake because Russia is known for its cold winters, and the MuG-2, as I (hope I have) specified, is a (fictional) fighter of the USSR. However, by the time I realized how weak Snowflake sounds, it was already too late...
-MuG-2 was sometimes called the "Trauma Plane" or "Terrified Ivan" due to its weird inlet shape forming what looked to be a open frown of utter shock.
