The H.S. Hunley was a Confederate submarine used during the American Civil War. It was credited for destroying 1 Union frigate before it mysteriously sunk. It is equipped with 1 wing gun and 1 torpedo.

    It did more than collapse lungs. The forces involved would have torn internal organs apart. The brain is a delicate internal organ.
    I missed the Monitor.

    Also, if the crew had had nothing but air around them, they would have survived. They had no concept of how shockwaves travel through water, and they were just inches from that water.
    The last thing they would have been aware of would have been the order to detonate the torpedo, then nothing.

    This design could be more accurate if the "torpedo" is a bomb attached to the "pole" on the bow. Self-propelled torpedoes haven't been invented a the time, and the so-called "torpedoes" were spar torpedoes. And that's why it sank (the ship got caught in the blast, which killed the crew while leaving the hull somewhat intact)

    Great job! The ship is the H.L. Hunley, not H.S. Also the ship sank because the explosive that blew up on the Union ship also sank the Hunley from the blast. Great work btw!
