Lockheed P-38L with HVARs
-Huge thanks to EpicPigster1 for the victory marks!-
(PLEASE READ TAKEOFF/LANDING CONTROLS!!!!!)
BIO: Inspired by Howard Hughes’ XF-11, The P-38 was America's most commonly used heavy fighter during the second world war. Although it was just a twin prop, it’s armement with the mix of the unique, efficient design created one of the most deadly heavy fighters of it’s time. The plane was made to escort bombers. And with it’s amazing speed and range, it was able to. But, escorts were not the only thing the P-38 did. It was a multirole aircraft. It was then known to appear on beach landings and take out artillery and pillboxes. The P-38 was an all-around great aircraft, until it retired in 1965.
INFO: This one-week project took me ages to do, so I hope you enjoy this aircraft. Of course, this plane can pack a punch, so, due to a vote on forums, the version with HVARS is to be uploaded first.
ARMEMENT: x4 M2 browning machine guns x1 Hispano Mk V. Cannon
CONTROLS: Press AG1 to turn on the supercharger (and leave it on while you fly) Press AG2 for lights. Press AG3 to drop the HVAR racks once you have used all your rockets. TRIM for flaps. Normal flight controls.
TAKEOFF: Turn on the superchargers before taking off (press AG1) and keep it on as you fly.
LANDING: When you land, keep your throttle at 1% to 5%. If you don't, the supercharger fans will overspeed and eventually explode. Once there is touchdown, do not hesitate to brake hard.
Good luck pilots, and happy flying!
