Introduction

Flying saucers, German secret projects, they go in hand right? After seeing some of the off the wall designs that the Germans where coming up with late in the war I decided to make a secret weapon of my own.

So here we have the flying pancake of the German variety, designed as a duel role (well all german aircraft had to be at this time of the war) primarily as a ground attack platform but with heavy fighter capability. Utilising parts from the BF109 (fins and cockpit section) to save on construction time (common again at this time of the war) it was operable just before the war was ended. Designed around 2 Jumo 04 jet engines with a limited fuel capacity / engine life the aircraft had potential held back by engine technology of the era.

The FW299A has the capability of carrying the Fritz X guided glide bomb along with being able to carry most of the luftwaffe ordinance of the period. It was also armed with 4 cannon and a basic radar package to allow for target finding etc.

AG8 to lock pitch and roll controls
AG3 (and camera 1) for releasing the Fritz X bomb
