Did you ever thought of having a (barely) real sized 747-400 in the colors of a airline unknown by many? Then this post is for you!

I present you... the 747-400 in Varig livery!

You may ask me "Why a Varig 747?", and i've a answer!

Varig, alongside Aerosur, Avianca and Aerolineas Argentinas were the only South American airlines who operated the 747, and i chose Varig because one of their routes for the 747-400, Kai Tak, yes, they operated in there from 1993 all the way to Kai Tak's closure, they're the only Brazilian AND South American airline to ever operate in Kai Tak, and they did so via the route Guarulhos-Johannesburg-Kai Tak.

The 747-400 entered Varig's fleet in 1991, and operated in long haul flights for the company all the way to their retirement in 1999, lasting 8 years only in Varig's domain.

The aircraft of this post (PP-VPH), started operating on Varig after delivery. After the 747-400 retirement in Varig, PP-VPH operated in Air New Zealand, Saudi Arabian and Air Atlanta Icelandic before being scrapped in GYR (Goodyear Litchfield Municipal) on 2014, barely lasting 22 years by the end of its life.
