Background

Federation

The Mammoth IIA7 is a fourth-generation main battle tank developed by Voraus Enterprises designed for the modern battlefield. The 68.8-ton tank first entered service in 2001 and is armed with a 120mm smoothbore cannon, 20mm coaxial and 7.62mm coaxial. The tank is powered by a powerful turbine engine capable of pushing it to speeds of 48mph. One of the most important requirements for the new tank is the capability of having a C4I (Command, Control, Communication and Computing) system.

Some versions are equipped with a 130mm or 140mm smoothbore cannon. Limited production and see action only against some of the toughest armoured platforms.

The Mammoth can be equipped with the Saab Barracuda camouflage system, which gives the tank concealment against visual, infrared, thermal infrared, and broad-band radar detection. The turret is fitted with four groups of five-barreled smoke grenade launchers. The launchers can create a thick smoke that blocks both visual and thermal imaging. The engine is also equipped with a smoke generator that is triggered by the driver.

The tank is equipped with a spaced armour arrowhead with perforated nano-crystal plates within it. The arrowhead uses a fourth generation composite shell with ceramics incased within it. Main turret armour and frontal plate is protected with DU Chobham armour. Further protection can be provided in the form of AMAP armour packages. This allows for near impenetrability from 125mm APFSDS and HEAT from the frontal arcs with very good protection from the sides. The frontal turret with the arrowhead has a maximum physical thickness of 1750mm of armour.

The side and the rear of the tank protect against heavy machine guns, medium caliber rounds and older types of tank ammunition. The side of the hull is covered by armour skirts to increase protection against projectiles and RPGs. The frontal third of the hull sides is covered by heavy ballistic skirts, while the rest of the hull sides is covered by steel-reinforced rubber skirts.

Newer vehicles are equipped with the FUCCS (Federation Unit Combat Computation System). The AI has computational systems capable of monitoring parts, crew vitals and pinpointing locations of friendly, and hostile units. This information can be communicated through a centralized system. The system is capable of verbally conversing with crew members to assist in familiarization with the capabilities of the system as well as connections with the tank itself.

The IIA7 tank is equipped with C4I system (Command, Control, Communication, Computer & Intelligence). This can be incorporated into the defense network to enable sharing of information among tanks, as well as connected to the infantry's outdoor computer network "Regiment Command Control System" (ReCS) to facilitate integrated military operations with the infantry troops. Other features are as follows:
-Continuously Variable Transmission that allows the tank to reach 48mph forward as well as reverse.
-Autoloader with crew of three.
-Hydropneumatic active suspension, which allows it to adjust its stance and absorbs recoil when firing.
-Day/night sights mounted around the turret, providing a full 360° coverage as well as providing input to the C4I system.

-Based on the Leopard 2 and Type 10

Controls

Movement

-Pitch (Forward and Back to reverse and throttle) (Don't throttle too long, this thing was too heavy and couldn't climb anything so I had to give it a really powerful engine).
-Yaw turns

Weapons

-FireWeapons fires main gun (Boom 50s)
-FireGuns fires machine gun
-VTOL Rotates turret
-Trim elevates guns
