Hello!
This is the third revision of the Dragonfly, and I am very pleased with how it turned out.
It shares no parts with the earlier versions—I completely rebuilt everything from scratch.
I don’t have much to say, other than that I’m really glad to finally post this.
Even though the original Dragonfly is a few years old now, it's still one of my favorite creations.
I wanted to see how far I could take it, and I’m very happy with the result.
It was originally intended to be an exploration vehicle for SP2, but it ended up having far more parts than I anticipated.
how to fly:
This machine has two flight modes: hover mode and normal flight mode.
Activate AG1 to enter hover mode. From there, VTOL controls your altitude rate:
VTOL down to rise
VTOL up to sink
The trim controls both the auto-positioning system and the forward engine:
Trim up:
Adjusts the extent of the position-holding system (it aims to reduce your horizontal speed as long as you're below a certain threshold).
Trim down:
Activates the forward flight engines.
Throttle:
Does absolutely nothing.
Activate1:
switch between flight modes
Activate2:
opens the doors
Activate3:
Acitvates the guns
Activate4:
Activates the cannon
Activate5:
Activate Lights
Activate6:
Adds extra pitch authority
Once you have enough forward velocity, you can deactivate AG1 to switch to normal flight mode.
From there, it flies just like a regular plane.
This is the evolution of the craft:

Cool design!
@Graingy that's fair, Dieselpunk is my favourite punk, hella nice
@Graingy That's okay, my bad about the yelling though, it's because I love this genre so much :3
@SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore Which I scarcely see.
@Monarchii Ah, I suppose I was mistaken. Don't see Dieselpunk as often, I suppose.
also this is hella cool, great work!! :3
@Graingy It's DIESELPUNK
Holy moly
@Graingy is it not dieselpunk? punk >:3
Wow, marvelous steampunk!
I've never been the biggest fan of the aesthetic, but that by no means is to say I don't like it! On the contrary, it has a sort of charm you don't see in much. A mix of technology and fantasy, a great "what if" with the answer "it couldn't be" patiently sitting by the sidelines, willing to let the world of possibilities run wild for the time being.
banger,i wanna spotlight this
(also i feel yaw is a lot wobbly, prolly because i am on low physics)
Beautiful....
The literal "Flying" Scotsman
