Boeing B707-300 (no mods!)
Going Retro
VARIANTS:
BOEING 707-300 SMOKE (Modded)
Boeing E-3 Sentry
Northrup Grumman E-8A JOINT STARS
When Boeing made the model 367-80, they also made the KC-135. They also made the Boeing 707 because money is cool. Long story short both versions were a massive success (except for the 707-700, F in the chat. Anyway, almost all of the Boeing 707s currently flying have some sort of modification from the original. For example, Omega Air has 2 KC-707s, which are original 707s modified for the same purpose as the KC-135. MIT Lincoln Laboratory has a Boeing 707 that has been heavily modified to become a USAF communication test bed. (May or may not be replicated in the future).
Anyway, enjoy this recreation of that one extremely inefficient and under powered jet that started it all for Boeing's jet age.
How to fly
Take Off:
Start with throttles around 40% with flaps between 1/16 and 1/2 down, and then increase throttle to between 90% and 100%. You can rotate anywhere between 130-150 knots. Climb out at 180 knots, until you are either far enough away from the airport or you turn out of your departure. Continue raising speed to 250 Knots. Retract flaps and landing lights as you pass 200 knots. Increase speed to 270 above 10,000, and switch from IAS to TAS above 18,000 feet.
Landing:
At 18,000 feet, switch from TAS to IAS. Continue above 250 knots until 10,000 feet. At 10,000 feet, you can slow down to between 250-200 knots. I recommend you avoid flying below 200 knots until you are in the pattern to land, at which point you may fly as slow as 170 knots with flaps up to 3/8 down. Final landing speed should be lower than 160kts and higher than 140kts, with flaps between 3/4 and full.
Tips
~ACT5 activates the landing lights, make sure they are retracted above 200 knots or else you can pretend that you no longer have landing lights.
~NO STROBES! This is just because I couldnt find a video of a 707 with strobe lights so I assumed it doesnt have them.
~Use this Mach Table in order to find cruise speed in knots TAS. Find your altitude in thousands of feet, find the corresponding speed in knots, and multiply that by 0.82 to find your cruising speed.
Controls
ACT1: Beacon Lights + Smoke (Smoke version only)
ACT2: Speed Brakes
ACT3: Reverse Thrust
ACT4: Taxi Lights + Wing Lights
ACT5: Landing Lights
ACT6: NAV Lights

Thanks to @Laurentjames123 and @InuYasha8215 for help with the first screenshot!
I wonder if Iran is hiding an original 707?

ForeverWallaby.
Noice
@asteroidbook345 sure m8
@SouthTunnel2 If I knew how to put custom images as the thumbnail
The one you put in the desc would work. @ForeverPie
@SouthTunnel2 ikr lol
The E-3 should perform better if I do the screenshots right
UGH! STILL FREAKING UNDERRATED!
I’m going to need those engines soon in SimplePlanes because I am currently making a Boeing 707 on my computer in SimplePlanes but I’m stuck because of the engines because idk where to find and get the engines though. So because of that can you upload the engines you used on this Boeing 707 in SimplePlanes because I’m not that good of a builder in SimplePlanes too.
Awesome!
@ForeverPie nice, also having any thoughts on making a convair 990A?
@ForeverPie progress on E-6?
@ShootsPlanes I did test that, and the answer is yes, just make sure you are over 3,000 feet.
@Numbers IAS
Will i be able to commit Tex Johnston?
It's still service for iranian airforce "IRIAF" (tanker SQ and cargo unit)
Yes (you got your funny answer) lol
It’s AWSOME love it
Poi
