JATO Betsy - Female Test Dummy
My take on Suubk27's amazingly well done Test Dummy, whom I initially strapped the rocketpack onto, but couldn't bring myself to immediately re-upload something that took like only a few minutes...
So I spent the better part of today making an equally great Female test dummy, similarly based on the actual article!
It didn't seem fair that the gals of SimplePlanes didn't have representation. :) Please know I took a lot of care to not make this exaggerated and it is not meant to be lewd in any way!
Based off of this image.
"Betsy" (instead of Buster) stands 5ft 7in tall, weighing roughly 145lbs (sans rocketpack). Compared to the original, it's sculpted to be more petite, but not to any great extent. Given a butt and a bust, although to be fair, the male one I originally did I had already given buttocks to. lol
I also re-worked the Shoulder and Hip joints to provide more realistic movements.
Shoulders now free to move in all directions, and I tried to make it similarly limited as best I could, keeping with the groundwork Suubk laid down.
Hips swivel now connected at 45deg to rotate as the hip ball socket would; fittingly more flexible, as is true to nature.
Other joints were tweaked accordingly, to further the realistic limits. Although, during free-fall, the knees still have a tendency (or tendoncy? bazinga!) to ... bend backwards ... <_>
The JATO, or Jet Assisted Take Off, was a small 'rocket' motor strapped to planes to give them Short Take Off ability. One would've been plenty, but that's not how I roll, so I strapped two together! "Buckle up, buckaroo!"
Also, a Gyro stuffed in the chest, just to provide some control authority, but tweaked down to not be overpowering. (You'll want to remove this for non-JATO use.)
CONTROLS & INFO
Yaw, Pitch, Roll
for... those very functions.
AG3
to light the motors.
Burn Time: 100 seconds, after which point you're at the mercy of gravity.
Top Speed: Roughly 5300 mph
Max Altitude: Roughly 275,000 ft
After loading in, she will sit down in a.... less-than-lady-like pose (blame anatomy and physics, not me!), but shouldn't* fall over, leaving you primed to launch off w/o issue.
(Shakedown run of pre-finalized seatbelt configuration, but is only 2 more parts different.)
If you like mine, please be sure to like the original, as they did a superb job creating this.
ENJOY!

Zamn its T H I C C 🥶 (again im just joking around as always)
@VChart :sob: heh
Comically, thanks again to physics (aerodynamics) she assumes a similar posture while falling back to earth after the rockets burn out -- provided the Gyro remains enabled, otherwise free-fall is a little more chaotic with it disabled.
I'm getting ready to upload her older, more successful sister. (Who I hope displays a bit more decorum for people; thankfully she seems to.)
The pose in the beginning ..........
@Gadyyyy Yea... *sigh* Not a proud dad moment :( lmao

But seriously.... mistreat her and I'll hunt you down! :P
Spawns in, immediately spread legs
@Formula350
Thanks for uploading its really fun.
@ChillyFlashbang
Uploaded, as requested. However, a Female version instead, as to not just upload an otherwise-carboncopy of the original.
