KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, legally Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V.('Royal Aviation Company Plc.'), is the flag carrier of the Netherlands. Soon an RCP Engineering D-01 rolls out in 1989, KLM sees the plane then order 4 D-01's, it became popular with Asiana Airlines too, so they order 26 of them, which makes KLM the first airline to introduce the D-01 and an European launch customer with an german airliner LTU, which KLM is with Asiana Airlines, Varig and LTU first introduce their D-01 in 1989.
