Auto Credit Based on 32's !simple F-104

If you're reading this, congratulations on being selected as a flight tester! Please give it a try and tell me if anything is broken or needs improvement. As for performance feedback, I'm going to be totally honest and just say this thing doesn't really fly like an F-104. At low speeds (probably under 40-50% throttle) it maneuvers very well, but its maneuverability starts to decline at higher speeds. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE test the cockpit and make sure it has any and all features it needs. I know this is a simple, fairly unimpressive build, but I want it to be executed at the highest level possible. Don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. All edits will be XML edited, then all testers will be tagged when the edit is complete.
should be a picture of the cockpit, let me know if its broken

Things that still need to be done:

  • remove credits from flight instructions and put in actual flight instructions

  • remove exclamation mark from download (useful for building, a little annoying if you save this thing)

Controls:

AG1 to drop missiles
AG2 to drop tanks

Hotfix 1 has been released, this (hopefully) removes random explosions and all those unnecessary camera views. I couldn't get it to explode on my phone or laptop, but it may still do it on your device. If for whatever reason you want the past version of the plane, XML history is here .
Some parts are hidden, but they work fine in game.

If you don't want to test this, that's completely ok, and I'm sorry to bother you. Just let me know ; )

@Korzalerkle I checked those, it appears having collisions turned set to true on the missiles was causing the problem. I'll update the XML pretty soon.

Didn't check for any of this since I'm extremely lazy, but here are some tips regarding custom missiles (not that I'm very experienced with those but who knows might be useful):

    - Make sure all fuselage parts have massScale set to 0, calculateDrag set to false and disableAircraftCollisions set to true.
    - Make sure the connections are set up like this.
    - Make sure the detacher has a decent bit of mass, if you make it too low it'll look weird.
    - The missile should also have collisions disabled, since it could hit the plane's wing after firing if you turn too much.

Maybe it'll help with fixing the explosion problem.

@32 Because It only exploded on turns

    @32 That must be it

@FirstLandFish83828 I think I may have pinpointed the issue. The reason the plane is exploding is when the missiles bump into the wings. Turning off aircraftCollisions should fix it. I'll update the XML later today and fix that.

@FirstLandFish83828 That's very strange - I've flown it on my iPhone without trouble. I suppose it doesn't matter though, because it will need to be fixed to work on Quest headsets. For now, try switching to medium or low, then restarting and switching back. I'll add that to the list for the next update.

@FirstLandFish83828 I've been using high physics without issue, but when I switched it to low physics, I had the problem you described. I'll try to fix it. are you sure you're on high physics? If you aren't switching to high should fix the problem.
Edit: medium also stops it from blowing up, but it doesn't fly as well.

It exploded when I went supersonic speed (767mph) at low altitude and (no offense) is horrible at low speed.
