Flycatcher S-1/STOL

Auto Credit Based on BagelPlane's Thanks for Gold! Flycatcher S-1 Ultralight

Reproduced with the kind permission of BagelPlane.

The Flycatcher S-1/STOL is a STOL ultralight specifically designed for use on multiplayer servers. It features excellent low-speed handling, powerful brakes and a low landing speed.

AG1 activates the navigation lights.
AG2 opens the fuel cap.
AG3 deploys the emergency parachute.
AG8 closes the canopy and prims the engine.

I rediscovered the Flycatcher when I was searching for a good short-take-off-and-landing aircraft for use in multiplayer. Seeing the light weight of this aircraft, I gave it a try, and the next ninety minutes were spent drifting around Wright Island with Freerider2142 and some others landing in the best STOL spots he could find. Having found that the STOL performance was already exactly what I was looking for, I asked for Bagel's permission to modify it further, and here is the end result of that work.

Modifications include but are not limited to the removal of external detailing, the addition of a larger fuel tank, the removal of the wheel fairings, increasing the diameter and width of the tyres, increasing braking power and changing the paint scheme.

Looks and flies great! Is surprisingly durable too. The only time you need to use the parachute is if any of your wings are damaged

That's excellent. I might join you later if I have the time.
You can see now why I didn't change it that much from the original!

Make sure that the centre of vertical thrust is equal to the centre of mass for a VTOL aircraft.

    Great plane!
This is the first STOL Ultralight/Bush plane I really enjoy flying.
Easy to control, fun to fly, fun to land.
@BagelPlane great job on the original one, the design is beautiful and very practical.

Now I finally have a plane to use in MP for STOL flying :)
