"The Mig"(Top Gun)
This is the “Mig”, a twin-engine single or two-seat fighter jet operated by Soviet Bloc air forces. Well kind of, this is actually the Northrop F-5 painted black with Soviet insignia for use as Soviet aircraft in the movie Top Gun.
The Northrop F-5 is an American light multirole fighter jet which began service in 1961. Later versions such as the F-5E/F Tiger II are still in use today by many different armed forces. This specific Fighter is the F-5E Tiger II armed only with air to air missiles for a designated fighter role. The successor of this aircraft was the F-20 Tigershark which was beaten out by the F-16 and never saw service.
Top speed: 1600 mph (not very realistic sorry)
AG1: Arm weapons
AG2+Landing Gear: Arrestor Hook
AG3: Missiles
AG4: Missiles
AG5: Missiles
AG6: Middle Pylon release
AG7: Landing Parachute
AG8: Open Cockpit
Trim: Flaps
PS: (This aircraft may be small and low on parts but was pretty tedious and difficult for me due to its small size. I will eventually make the two-seater version of this plane with American insignia but not right away)
Also if you’ve got any suggestions on aircraft for me to build or critiques on my current builds they are appreciated.
Enjoy

who laughed when the called this a mig in the movie when we knew it was a F5E
Interestingly, the F-5 is used by the US Air Force and Navy as aggressor aircraft to simulate the fact that US pilots won't likely go up against aircraft with identical characteristics to theirs.
lol i was gonna say that looks nothing like a mig
@ F104Deathtrap This is a propaganda lie for the people, and anyway the F-14s are much more beautiful
@F104Deathtrap yeah.
@Sinacraft It's a modified F-5E with bits of F-14A electronics spliced inside. The twin vertical tails are reminiscent of the F-18 (which is also related to the F-5).
@ F104Deathtrap is a native F-5S Saeqeh fighter, but it has no particular application but is very ugly.
@F104Deathtrap What?
AKA Iran's "brand new, completely indigenous" fighter for 2018. lol
It's a MiG-28
Cool!
Great job my friend!
@ForeverPie The T-38 was the prototype for the F-5 family of fighters, in the movie they used the F-5 E/F
I thought the MIG was a T-38 😂
