Introduction

Following the limited success of previous WW1 aircraft, RJ turned their attention to improving existing designs to compete with Sopwith Aviation Companies aircraft such as the Camel and the Snipe. This lead to a radial engine being used to power a wooded 2 bladed propellor and an armament of 2x0.303in Vickers machine guns.

Controls / characteristics / features

AG1 to start the engine, after that just standard flight controls.

Takeoff is around 40knts, top speed is around 100knts.

Aircraft has a fully working cockpit, realistic era styling, colour scheme based on a real Sopwith Camel, moving control horns, glass panel above pilot for extra visability, curved roundels, contrastic panels to give affect of the wing ribs etc.

@ThomasRoderick yeah, its what happens when everything is panelled and its an open cockpit and engine cowl as well so I had to fut a radial engine and detailed cockpit... I'm worn out.

@Tang0five to be fair the fuselage wasn't so bad, I started with a 2x2 paneled section I have as a sub assembly then just extended the front and back. The roundels on the other hand where a time consuming process... not only having to bend them around the shape of the wing but also split them for the ailerons. I'm over the moon with how it turned out though.

@BagelPlane they are fun to build and fly so I'm not that bothered. I did wonder the same thing when I posted my previous build but you know what, it doesnt matter as long as someone enjoys it :)

WWI aircraft are great! Don't know why they don't have as much success as other fighters...?
