Functional Bolt-Action Rifle
Ladies and Gentlemen, it is finally here! The most realistic gun in all of SimplePlanes- with revolutionary box magazine technology, bolt-powered bullet loading, and realistic casing ejection, this gun achieves it all. With 5 bullets in the magazine, it is ready to fire when you load it up. Just follow the following instructions:
How to use your new rifle:
1. THROTTLE UP TO 100% to ready loading
2. Wait for bullets to move up
3. Confirm bullets are not vibrating or bad things will happen when attempting to load
4. Press & Hold “Pitch Up” or “W” for most people, watch the bolt on the right side move to the marker, then release
5. Let shell fall into breach.
6. Fire by pressing AG(# of bullet) - i.e. AG1 for first shot, AG2 for second shot
7. When you fire, say, the first shot, the next shot in the magazine will automatically move up.
8. Confirm bullets are fully up and not vibrating or bad things will happen when attempting to reload.
9. Repeat step #4 & #5. You will see that the next bullet loads in while the old bullet’s casing is ejected from the breach.
10. Fire. (Step #6)
11. The same pattern for all 5 shots. Pretty simple, but can be a bit buggy because of SimplePlanes’s physics.
12. VTOL is for using the bipod, but I recommend you don't touch that as it shakes the design.
I didn't really know how to decorate this, hope you like it. I tried to make the muzzle flash thing work, but it kept blowing up so I gave up. :P
This design will probably work for a long, long, time because it uses more realistic elements. So no update will kill it. Hopefully.

I mean its very cool, but it is a bit complicated.
hehehe I'm the 69th updoot
I really like the concept of how it reloads
Cringe
@Natedog120705
Please do go ahead! I'd like to see how you did!
Dude!! Remember how I said I would make my own version? Well it’s almost done!!!! It is pretty cool in my opinion, but has a couple flaws. It’s not really similar to yours at all, but I can give you a sneak peek if you want? @SnoWFLakE0s
@YuukaNeko I don't! Could you tag me in it? I'd like to see what you did.
Do you mind if I upload a revision?
Nice, but can you add more ammo and improve the magazine design? Your loading system is gr8.
where is the bullet gone?
@SnoWFLakE0s Yes, i made the loading system work, but the ejector is difficult.
@Slaviguy I was thinking of making a paintball gun that way, but the flaw in a drop magazine is that the friction often causes errors when loading in rounds.
@SpiritusRaptor Oh I see.
I made something similar, but the loading system uses gravity to make the shells fall into the breach.
Your shell ejection is more authentic... but you can only have 7 bullets... so to get around this there is the method to use the in game ground to air firing system so one can have many many bullets. Its a totally dofferent way of doing it. My earlier guns were a bit similar to yours, but yours still is better / more authentic using the sping type process .
@SnoWFLakE0s
@SpiritusRaptor
What's the difference between my shell ejection and yours on your most recent cannon?
@MartinCoetzee All is fine, but please remove some of your comments though. It kinda feels like spamming on this board.
Also. Once when i was using this yesterday one of the bullet shells flew over the gun when i ejected it xD.
Ok. Im actually new to magazine making and extending.
@MartinCoetzee Sorry for the late reply. Different time zone. Anyhow, if you've understood how this system works, it's extremely convenient to add rounds. Add a round/cartridge & a lifter piston under the spring system to increase magazine capacity. However, the current limitations allow for only up to 7 rounds max. Please wait though, I'm currently unable to work on SP as I am outside ATM. Will get to this later.
I do need some help. I am trying to add more ammo but it wont work.
@SnoWFLakE0s. Could you please make a version with more ammo? And maybe a way to give the gun more ammo on your own without needing to download the version with more ammo? Only a bigger ammo mag download to make it a sub-assembly and use it.
@KerlonceauxIndustries Actually, I looked into how a lever-action works, and we'd need to have some way for the pin to "stick" to the casing, but I really don't know how that'd work... Lever-action might be closer to not possible for now.
@SnoWFLakE0s no problem!
@SnoWFLakE0s Lol, the system you've made works just fine, it's just a tad inaccurate.
