Hawker XP-2708 was another top secret British fighter jet developed during the last years of the World War II, in 1945, powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Derwent 8 centrifugal flow turbojet engine, 3,600 lbf (16 kN) thrust each. This was one of a first British Flying Wing design developed for RAF. This is much similar to the XP-155 but the engines nacelles were moved towards the centerline of the air craft to prevent the asymmetrical thrust if anything happened to one of the engines after our test pilot and aviation designer Sir Thomas Roderick (Knight/Dame Commander (KCMG/DCMG).
