The operational version, in addition to the tasks mentioned in the UH15 and UH-15A versions, carries out clarification and attack operations, in light of its vocation for ASuW actions (Anti-Surface Warfare), relying on state-of-the-art sensors, consisting of a radar AN/APS-143 Telephonics, a FLIR CCD/TV night vision and thermal turret, a mission Tactical Data Management System (N-TDMS), and next-generation Exocet AM39 B2M2 missiles.

On November 19, 2021, the Navy received the first Super Cougar aircraft in the AH-15B version. With the visual indicator N-4101, it was the twelfth H225M aircraft to be built for the Naval Aviation collection, within the scope of the “H-XBR” Project. This version was specially developed for the Navy, being the most complex in the H225M aircraft fleet.
