T-35-3 Rampager
Biased department called...
...Asked for some diesel.
__________Brief History__________
In alternative universe
1939
On summer of 1939 last 10 T-35A were built and the works on further modification of multi-turreted beast were stopped due to questional combat effectiveness of such design in the conditions of modern warfare. Bureau that worked on it was disbanded, most engineers were applied to work in other projects such as KV-1, SMK, T-100 and SU-100Y.
On spring of 1940 one of the engineers that previously worked on T-35 bequeaths modified schemes with difference in suspension and motor section to one of the young colleagues which happen to be in SU-100Y development team at that time.
After all works on SU-100Y were finished he then was moved a number of times between different design bureaus working on KV-2, KV-220, KV-3, KV-4 and other projects until autumn of 1942.
In that time, after facing newest german Pz.VI Tiger, Red Army formed requirements for new heavy tank. With some help from the friends among more experienced and trusted engineers, he was allowed to gather own construction team, starting his project around previously received T-35 schemes.
He changed main turret to the one from KV-1S with 122mm howitzer (U-11), installed 4 turrets with secondary artillery armament, instead of previous 2, simillar to the ones on T-34's fitted 76.2 or 57mm cannons, increased hull length and width as well as armor thickness in front, sides and roof. Unfortunately, on april 1943 this project was discarded by commision in favor of IS-1, not only because it would be increadibly heavy, costy, used an outdated layout and armament but also it was not assembled to that time. Soon after his construction team was reformed at one of the special design bureau ( a.k.a. sharashkina kontora).
With a bad reputation and distrust from government he still was used to bring promised project to life, this time as a heavy breakthrough tank. By the end of summer of 1943 commision received the second iteration of his project, with main turret from IS tank fitted with 107mm cannon, 2 turrets with 85mm cannons and other 2 with 76.2mm cannons, hull with length and width of 15.8 and 7.3 meters and ability to withstand the fire of german 88-mm gun with ease. His work was rejected again. Thanks only to his connections and old friends he was not sentenced for waste of government resources, but this is the last chance for him.
The third variant was formed in the beginning of 1944. It's hull was shortened by 3.8 and narrowed to 6 meters, had 3 turrets, one with 122-mm cannon and other two with trusty 76.2mm, lighter than 100 metric tons and capable of standing the fire of german newest 75-mm tank guns from 1 km. This one was approved, but with one condition. End engineering career on your own. And it was fulfilled. Project received name T-35-3 and 2 tanks were ordered. The case about inappropriate use of government resources was closed as well.
By spring of 1944 the Red Army received these vehicles.
First one of them did not saw much combat and was mostly used in propaganda on liberated territories until the very end of war. Numerous pictures and black and white films near wrecks of german engineering genius were giving such a reputation to the wonder weapon of Soviet Union, almost a mythical, legendary status simillar to the fearsome "White Tiger". Yet, there was another crew.
The second one had seen a lot more fights. After one of them it received a name "Rampager", as the crew was confirmed to destroy 2 Pz.V "Panther", 7 Pz.IV's and more than a dozen of APC's and trucks with munition, fuel, infantry and towed artillery in combat that lasted less than two hours. Unfortunately it was burnt with its crew on the Berlin outskirts on April 23 of 1945, presumably in a duel with King Tiger
__________Technical Notes__________
The very first of the changes was the use of torsion bar suspension, switch to heavy modified diesel M-34 engine (derived from SU-100Y) which provided 870 horsepower and new transmission with gear box 7-speeds (6 for forward and 1 for reverse) while using unified (with other vehicles, such as IS tank series or T-34-85) components. Total fuel supply of 1150 litres , 950 litres of which stored inside plus 200 litres in external storages, grants a range of almost 170 km on roads. It was able of reaching 30 km/h on road and its off-road performance and manouverability were not that bad considering the overall mass, still, troubles like engine overheat and gears can hardly be shifted at times, were present.
Crew number was reduced from 11 to 8 tankmen, thanks to lesser turret count and consisted of driver with his workspace on the left, 1 loader and 1 gunner for each turret and tank commander in main turret. Fighting compartments could store up to 42 shots for main caliber and up to 210 shots for secondary turrets, also typically included a fuel tanks placed just beneath the superstructure and to the right from the driver seat, radio station and equipment that let the crew to communicate in combat situation. A number of hatches on hull roof and floor and every turret were supposed to improve crew chances on survival and simplify munition replenishment as well as inreasing overall combat readiness.
Hull front and sides had diversified armor thickness. Varying from 130mm to 60mm for the upper front section to the lower, 100mm on the sides of fighting compartments and 75mm on the rear and engine section, superstructure had 120mm all around, hull floor, roof and side screens were 30mm thick. Main turret was a heavily modified IS tank turret with frontal armor increased to 140mm and 110mm for sides and rear, fitted with 122mm D-25T cannon and coaxial DT machine gun. Secondary turrets were built from two sections, the first was simillar to old BT tank series and had 70mm on sides and rear, the second, frontal, was derived from T-34 that fitted 76.2mm ZIS-5 cannon with 100mm of rolled armor steel.
Gigantic size and immense mass was reducing its overall protection and mobility, diversified, in terms of ballistics, main and secondary calibers, usual for soviet tanks problem with target spotting and troublesome fire coordination of all 3 turrets limited tank effectiveness in conditions of direct combat. Yet, its devastating armament is effective in fights on the distance against most targets, be it tank, infantry or towed artillery.

Personal notes
Yes, this is my first actual experience with tracks mod.
Yes, dynamically it behaves strange. Acceleration is too fast. Also yes, it was intended to keep the speed till you start turning or stop.
I wanted to get this thing below 500 parts, even though the challenge allows up to 1000.
Oh, yeah, writings... On the left: Rampager. On the right: Kharkov-Berlin swiftly!

Looks like a japanese superheavy
@MAHADI Always Has Been.
Thonks
@ThomasRoderick Hmm, maybe i'm wrong but the Demolisher upon installation on Leman Russ gets its turret fixed or , like, just 5 degrees for horizontal aim same thing happens with vertical aim.
Anyway, that's not gonna explode itself like some orkish zappa. Perhaps not on the very first shot.
Biased Diesel
@Grob0s0VBRa ...And here I thought that a Baneblade analogue would resemble an even CHONK-ier Maus.... or perhaps the CNC3 MARV. Either way, if we wanted to make one using "only" historical parts.... the baneblade's coaxial turret just screams "Maus" with the main gun replaced with what's basically a 280mm howitzer (that somehow hits like a 150mm, so 15cm sFH18 or ML-20) and the coaxial nerfed (somehow) to a QF 2pdr or Borfors 40mm L/60, the Demolisher cannon is a dead ringer for Sturmtiger's RW61 rocket mortar (funny how the Leman Russ Demolisher could apparently fit one inside its smol turret while the Vindicator or even the Land Raider Ares needed to be emptied out just to fit one), plus six M19 grenade launchers and two 37mm guns (both based on their closest size equivalents) but apparently capable of punching through tanks because they're SuPEr aDVaNCed tEcHNOlOgY... Yeah, WH40k designs are weird, and a lot of the ordnance's firepower does not translate nearly as nicely to the tabletop as they're in the fluff. Hell, if anything, the closest equivalent to this particular Rampager in the WH40k universe would be the Leman Russ of all things, with a battle cannon (likely the Vanquisher variant) in the turret and two lascannons in the sponsons.
.
..
... Of course nobody's stopping ya from going hog-wild with Soviet tech by switching the demolisher cannon with a pair of RBT-5 rockets and the heavy bolters with DShK machine guns...
@ThomasRoderick Almost an Baneblade, almost an soviet baneblade analogue.
Gosh. No. I must build one for real.
Thanks for up by the way

sprocket)
@Grob0s0VBRa yeah sometimes the recoil force doesn’t really translate if there’s any barrel recoil, which is why I like to use custom barrels attached to a shock, some of the force still translates to the vehicle
@asteroidbook345 yeah, i tried rising recoil for cannon piece but suspension part said: aight, imma head out
So i left it as it was...
upd: thanks for up
I feel like the 122 should have more recoil in the sense that it would rock the whole tank when it fires
Look Cool
@Phoebe
Good day/night.
