CREDITS

Auto-aim uses Para-chan System Mk4 by PlanariaLab.

CONTROLS

Main Movement
Pitch: Move forward/backward
Roll: Move sideways
Camera rotation in Main Camera: Rotate sideways

Other Movement
Throttle: Additional move forward
Trim: Movement mode select
Landing Gear UP: Disable hover

Boosters
Yaw LEFT: Upward boost
Yaw RIGHT: Quick boost (QB)
Brake: Downward boost

Weapons
Switch Weapon: Select staff/spear mode
Fire Guns: Light attack
Fire Weapons: Heavy attack
Launch Countermeasures: Deploy chaff and flares

IMPORTANT CONTROL NOTES

  • Run in Main Camera to gain the ability to yaw.
  • Quick boost is triggered when Yaw moves towards 0 when it is more than 0. The input may be dropped if using quick boost immediately after vertical boost.
  • It is recommended to use an Ace Combat-style controller layout, which will give you the Armored Core 4/6 "Type B" boost controls.
  • The normal and additional forward movement inputs are added together, and clipped at a maximum of 1.
  • Para-chan is used with my own coarse auto-aim, so any weirdness in aim is of my own doing.

MOVEMENT MODES

Approach Combat Mode (Trim > 75%)
Travel rapidly, using the Move Forwards control to set the flight speed. However, the staff weapon mode will be ineffective, and the ability to rotate and move sideways is reduced. Quick boosting is completely inoperable.

Standard Combat Mode (Trim > 50%)
Flight mode for maximum agility. Due to the nature of the booster setup, forward speed and acceleration are greater than those in other directions.

Standard Combat Mode, Reduced Speed (Trim > 25%)
Body animations are inhibited at the cost of a lower forward speed.

Normal Mode
Low-speed movement. The vertical dive input has a larger effect on reducing the hovering altitude.

BOOSTING

Vertical Boost
Produce thrust to move upwards or downwards. The thrust is greater when there is no horizontal movement input.

Quick Boosting (QB)
This action provides a brief moment of large acceleration. It can be used in the Standard Combat and Normal modes, and has a cooldown time of 1 second.
Note that the impulse provided is not enough to produce a 180-degree change in direction - doing so will leave you vulnerable to attack.

WEAPON MODE

General Precautions

  • Holding down the light attack input for too long will cause the weapon to overheat, disabling it for a few seconds.
  • A cannon predictor should be used to check the accuracy of the auto-aim before firing, as the aiming system has irregular deadzones.

Staff Mode

Light attack: Stardust Fairy
The emitter is set to a rapid-fire pattern with high spread. Maximum burst time of 2 seconds.

Heavy attack: Solar Flare
A fast-firing beam. Reloads in 1 second and has a range of 6 km.

Spear Mode

Light attack: Cosmic Beam
A somewhat difficult-to-use laser. Maximum burst time of 3 seconds. Range of 5 km.

Heavy attack: Starry-Eyed Operator
The most powerful setting. It has a range of 12 km but takes 4 seconds to reload.

DEV NOTES

A combination of mecha musume and basic lolita to turn Namie (the silly round glasses girl that may be in the profile picture) into a technological simulation of a magical girl.

A toned-down version of 4th-gen Armored Core is the basis of the flight model. The camera is based on the 4th- and 6th-gen cameras.

I mainly used control bases as 3-axis rotators to save parts. However, there are some areas where their floppy nature is detrimental. In addition, partially manual aim is used, where a body animation moves the weapon roughly in place before Para-chan does the rest silently. Be careful of the inaccuracies in auto-aim that are caused by this effect. With some practice, you can defeat large enemy groups cutely.

Most of the building was completed over about 10 days. You can ask about how to tweak the performance, but I don't remember how to make bigger changes as the spaghetti FT has turned to mush. Have fun, I am watching :GlorpSniper:

ARENA BIO

Ukimiya Namie is a freelance artist who, among various projects, has designed custom augment parts for arena combatants. Most of these parts are based on traditional European and East Asian clothes, which gives their users a unique appearance. However, her "form over function" approach usually leads to parts that are difficult to use, and sometimes poor in performance.

She has not competed in the arena. She occasionally takes part in non-combat events and simulated battles, where she demonstrates accurate aim and strong situational awareness, except when fired upon. Even though she is unranked, a higher predicted rank is given due to her performance in the activities mentioned. Her rare architecture, which has ties to the former biotechnology division of HAMEKA, is also considered.

EQUIPMENT

The UDS-010 set was designed by Ukimiya Design Studio and is built-to-order using HAMEKA's manufacturing on demand service.

Head: WA-1000/H
Namie's standard augment accessory, a microwave radar from an old civil security robot. It has a custom shell and detachable heat sink.

Bottoms: UDS-010/L
An integrated skirt, corset, and crinoline setup with vertical boosters. Powerful vertical thrust is available despite its low weight and energy consumption. However, there is limited horizontal thrust and armor protection - both traits that are important for survivability.

Main Booster: UDS-010/BM
Booster arrangement vaguely shaped like a large ribbon. Low weight for the thrust provided.

Right Arm: UDS-010/RA
A handheld laser weapon with partial automatic aim. It can transform between a turret-like "staff mode" and a direct-fire "spear mode". Despite its appearance, it cannot be used as a melee weapon.
