I-401

From the Anime Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio Ars Aova

Here's a little story,so a few months ago while i was looking for a good replica of the I-401 from Arpeggio of Blue Steel,i happened to stumble upon user gksrlf2312 creation,its was an unfinished version/abandoned project? of the I-401 that he made a few years ago,the frame of the hull and the supergravity cannon was already there bit he hasn't updated it for more than 2 years,so i decided to continue the project and here we are now,a completed version of the I-401 with the functional supergravity cannon(couldn't make the klein field but i have a few ideas i would like to try out in the future).
i already posted a screenshot a month ago and said i would be uploading in a few weeks but due to classes starting i couldn't do it as i promised so I'm sorry about that.

enough about that here's the

Controls

tried to minimize the Activation groups i would use but i ended up using all 8 of them,
and it's a little bit tricky to control!
so

• AG1 is for converting the hull into a super gravity canon and AG1 + FireGuns to fire it
• AG2 will activate all engines and its the lock for AG5
• AG3 is to replicate the "FULL BURST" as shown in the anime which will increase your ships speed(it's the controls for converting the rear part of the hull+activating another engine)
• AG4 is to replicate the "SIDE KICK" as shown in the anime which will increase steering speed
• AG5 is to submerge the sub (AG2 ON+VTOL UP+AG5)
• AG6 to activate AA guns
• AG7 to activate deck gun and torpedoes
• AG8 is for the gyroscope

now here's how to actually run the Sub

• 
  
  1. turn on AG2 to start engines
  
  
• 
  
  1. turn on AG1 and AG3 + VTOL up to convert the sub and hide the Super gravity canon
  
  
• 
  
  1. ALWAYS turn off AG1 and AG3 before Throttle up unless you want to do "full burst"
  
  
• 
  
  1. to do "full burst" activate AG3 then throttle up+ VTOL up now the sub should look something like this
     
     to deactivate "full burst" you must first Throttle down to 0 and wait for your sub to actually slow down before turning off AG3
  
  
• 
  
  1. to do "side kick" just turn on AG4 and use roll to steer
  
  
• 
  
  1. to once again convert to the super gravity canon you must first be in a complete stop,then turn on AG1 and AG3 then VTOL down,and finally use FireGuns to fire the canon.

some quick notes here,
the sub doesn't submerge completely because the vtol engines won't work anymore(i use VTOL nozzles to steer the ship)
,and the capsize problem,i didn't think it would be that much of an issue so i didn't really focus on that one(i'll do better on the takao)
,and the part count,this creation wasn't mobile friendly so i was thinking of uploading one?i'll remove some if not lots of details.

I've played with this again after a whole year and holy F was it complicated, I'll definitely remake this ,I'm sure it'll be better since i learned quite a lot of XML modding , my goal is to at least make it 1000 parts if not below 1000 with details included!!

might make it in the next few weeks or month since i still have a lot of schoolworks to do
