Grumman TBF-1C
Grumman TBF-1C "Avenger" White 3X
Historical Background:
Honestly dood if you dont know ANYTHING about this plane ur a scrub and you should look it up. But anyway, the camo scheme is what sets this aircraft apart... This Avenger is done up in the markings of White 3X which belonged Torpedo Squadron 51 (VT-51) aboard the USS San Jacinto. This was the aircraft that was being flown by LT (j.g.) George H. W Bush, who just so happed to be the future 41st president, when it was shot down while assaulting Japanese installations on the island of Chichijima. With his engine on fire and one of his other crewmembers already dead from the flak Lt bush managed to drop his payload and continue flying for several more miles before he managed to bail out. Neither his turret gunner Lt (j.g.) William White and Radioman Second Class John Delaney survived making Lt Bush, one of the youngest naval aviators at the time, the sole survivor of his aircraft. After a short 30 day stint aboard the sub that picked him up, Lt Bush was back aboard the USS San Jacinto. He continued to fly missions until 1944 giving him a grand total of 58 combat missions. He was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal, and a Presidential Unit Citation.

Notes:
This thing can take a pretty large beating. I've had most of my wings shot of and its still flown back to base. I started with my old TBF but it wasn't as accurate as I wanted it to be so I made it EVEN MOAR accurate! And now it is probably the most accurate TBF in the site.

There’s a book about George HW Bush’s squadron called “Flyboys”(the book is called that too
Good design. :)
If you feel like it you can. And thanks! @Zippy6
@CRJ900Pilot do you still want the bush camo?
@CRJ900Pilot ill see what I can do.
Could you make a version that uses pitch and roll (with mouse control) for the turrets please?
@ThunderNova well I don’t know about that enter line. That seems very odd. But to put in pics, first you need to get the url of an image. To do that I upload my pics to discord. Once they are there I have the option to “open original”. This opens a tab that has just the pic in it. Copy that url and paste it between the parentheses of ! [ t x t ] (url goes here) but without the spaces
@Zippy6 well, when i hit the enter key it doesn't go to a new line. Also, no, i don't know how to get pics up
@ThunderNova Honestly I just wrote the description. As for the pics, do you not know how to insert pics into descriptions?
Very nice! May i ask, how did you get that neatly organized description? The pictures too. I've been trying to do this but i can't figure out. Thank you, and again, nice airplane!
Nicely carved. You did a great job!
RIP H.W.
Very nice.
I just love how you've perfectly meshed the USAF Roundel with the fuselage, it looks so good!
I say , I think ......... no I'm sure it's the most beautiful Avenger of any Simple Plane .
Very nice job . Great GREAT replica .
@GeneralOliverVonBismarck cause rip my computer that's why. Honestly I'll let someone else do that if they want.
Cool!
