OMGOMG please just get me to gold lol
So,
Build a bush plane. Simple, right?
There are still some rules for you to follow.
- Must be an aircraft that can take off using less than 1/3 of Bandit’s runway length, and can survive a landing touchdown of -500fpm (feet per minute)
- Empty weight must not be negative
- 2 entries per user
- Max 4000 parts
- Must be a successor
- The plane must be at least partly new
- No mods except Fine Tuner and XML
- Fine none of that funky tree stuff whatever
- You must write the description yourself
- I reserve the right to disqualify any airplane for reasons related to lack of effort, point farming, exploitation, copying, and cheating
- Rules are subject to change
- Have fun!
Submission Categories:
Gold and Platinum - Submissions from those with 10k points or above as of 1 November will be compared with each other.
Gold and silver - Submissions from those with 1k or more points but less than 10k as of 1 November will be compared with each other.
Bronze - all other submissions as of 1 November will be compared with each other.
If a category has fewer than 5 submissions as of 1 November, it will be merged with another category.
Point guidelines:
Plane - 100pts
1. Performance - Does your airplane fly realistically? Does it just feel like a real plane?
X/40pts
2. Innovation - how creative and innovative is it? Does the plane have unique design solutions to common problems? What unexpected features are there (e.g. autopilot, doors, complex custom landing gear, the extensive use of Funky Trees, etc)?
X/30pts
3. Design - Is the design of the plane practical? Is it realistic? If your plane is a replica, how similar is it compared to the real plane? If it is fictional, how does it compare to its real-world competition?
X/25pts
4. Livery - how good does it look?
X/5pts
Description - 50pts
Are there detailed and accurate specs? Are limitations, V-speeds, and warnings given for the most enjoyable and realistic experience? Are short tutorials given for critical flight phases? Are controls given, if any, detailed and accurate?
TOTAL: 150pts
Bonus criteria:
Extra credit of 20 points for any two (2) or more pieces of funky tree code you can point out to me
Extra credit of 20 points will be given for the best first impression
Extra credit of 1 point will be given for every 100 parts over
500 that does not constitute spamming parts
Ten (10) points will be deducted if a gyro is required for normal operation - vertical take-off aircraft exempt if gyro is used for VTOL only

Also, please read this if you enter
Alright @APilotOfPlanes
@Cabbage17 try to make it land on the dirt road behind the hangars at Yeager (the one that leads to the bridge)
@Cabbage17 lol
Prepare yourself for the bush plane that destroys itself the second it sees rough terrain: the Bean Plen
@Cabbage17 although most bush planes are single engine, I’ll take AMEL (airplane, multi-engine, land) too.
@Cabbage17 we just need props (any quantity), STOL, and hard landings, as well as capability for any field condition and rugged terrain.
I’m guessing contra rotating propellers aren’t usually related to bush planes.
A couple questions:
Can I have two props?
Is a ten passenger capacity too much?
@APilotOfPlanes
Oh nvm 14th
Hold up, until 15th november? @APilotOfPlanes
I finished @APilotOfPlanes
@Cyberostrich
1. Download this
2. Build something (do not press “new aircraft” in the process)
3. Upload as unlisted with no description
4. Edit the description from the website (for easier formatting than in the in-game uploader)
