Helios Engineering SABAC is a heavy 100mm autocannon designed to be used in an interceptor plane. It has a muzzle velocity of 6000 meters per second and fires high-explosive rounds with a proximity fuse, so that they don't have to directly hit the target to explode. 2000 rounds are enough to take care of multiple heavy targets.
Given its high rate of fire, the barrel would be overheating quickly, and making multiple barrels is not a great idea with this caliber. Instead, a cooling system is used. It takes about a second to start before you can fire
Usage
To use the autocannon, press the Alt key (or FireWeapons on mobile). You will hear the cooling system starting, and then the cannon will start firing. Fuel is provided with the cannon and it is used as coolant.
Once you select a target, the proximity fuse will activate, so that the rounds explode on approach. While it is difficult to test this here, i will upload an aircraft with this cannon soon, so stay tuned.
Free to use as a subassembly, for that simply grab the coolant tank (large fuselage piece on the back)

@ThomasRoderick .. quite large, but not too much. It will probably have to be like 50% gun and 50% engine with the pilot squeezed somewhere in-between
I mean, it's not too far from some ww2 era planes (except for the firing rate, but i do want some BRRRRTT). As to what it would intercept.. things like Lockheed CL-1201 come to mind
