F-15ES High Mobility Strike Eagle
This plane is built to get myself familiar with most of the features added to the simpleplanes after I stayed away from the game for more than 3 years. During those years, I have schools and other games to play. In addition, beautiful works of other people made me hesitant to make anything since I am afraid I cannot meet up with the standards they are setting. After becoming a PhD student, I wanted a plane that can help me practice programming flight controllers. Therefore, I decided to build an F-15E from ground up using designer suite and modify it into S/MTD configuration. The only problem is I seems to have suffered feature creep when building this plane which leads to up to 70 hours of work being put into it.
Unlike the F-15 S/MTD, its canard came from F/A-18 E/F which is a lot larger than F/A-18 A/C. This change made the plane a lot more unstable than the F-15 S/MTD. In addition, it features F-100-PW-232 engine with P/YBBN nozzle. This made the aircraft extremely heavy but still incredibly maneuverable. The flight control system was programmed with simple state feedbacks. In normal flight conditions, the flight control system would limit the angle of attack to prevent main wing stalling and optimize lift during maneuvers. Disabling the angle of attack feedback would allow the plane to perform post stall maneuvers (PSM) when the speed is below 450km/h. The excellent nose authority during the PSM is sufficient for performing a gun kill on enemy. In the future, the plane would be fitted with adaptive control system with learning capability. However, such control scheme would not be ready in at least a year. The desired goal is to recreate some of the results from the S/MTD program and improving on those results if possible.

F-15 with canard?
Nice
@Freerider2142 Just verified, that problem only occurs when the frame rate is low.
cool plane, flies very nice.
the cockpit canopy doesn't close correctly after opening.
@WinsWings No worries
@Ownedpilot I spotlighted that a while ago and forget to upvote. sorry.
@WinsWings Welp, I guess they will not matter anymore since both are not getting upvotes. My trashbin, however, is getting more attention.
@Ownedpilot this with no part limit is great, but the one only with limited 25 parts has a different taste since it makes you think about how to use 25 parts efficiently. that's why.
@WinsWings
I think you will be interested to see what I can do when there is no part limit.
Damn. Good to see you haven't lost your edge!
@WolfHunter9111
Thanks for the support. I think General Resources would not hesitate to upgrade it with coffin system.
Really cool, Sorcerer Squaddies will be proud of you
@WolfHunter9111
Shameless mentioning since I think you will be interested.
@ThomasRoderick
I got the plane out. It was a bit too much work. I believe this thing will kill your phone.
