Thank you for your message and for raising these concerns. We have found no evidence suggesting a security breach on our SimplePlanes platform. It is more likely that incidents like these have been the result of individuals deleting their accounts intentionally or using compromised credentials. That said, we are always striving to enhance the security of our platform. We are exploring the introduction of two-factor authentication to provide an additional layer of security for our user accounts.
It’s also in my opinion possible that someone had a rather weak password and someone just brute-forced it.
@Majakalona you should pick up a PS2, it’s super fun. Maybe not the PC, if you’ve already got something that can run games it’s probably not worth building a thingy that expensive
@Rjenteissussy yeah but the border itself looks weird to me. That’s a thing that Windows itself does, so you’ve got to be on an older version of windows because 10 and 11 don’t make window borders that look like that.
I’ve played all kinds of things. They aren’t really to hold me over for SP2, but I've never really had a main game I've played. One unique one is X4: Foundations, it's a game with a simulated economy in space where you can fly spaceships or hire pilots to fly the ships for you. It's super fun and I'm honestly kind of surprised it wasn't more successful. I've also played The Finals a lot recently, it's a really good fps that mixes it up from some of the other stuff I've played. Also a little Forza, I recently built a PC so I played that one a lot when I was getting used to having good graphics.
There's this mod I had for a day or two where you press a big button and you get a random plane. Unfortunately the button is massive and it never goes away, even when you hide the UI with F9. Also I'm not sure if the planes are truly random because I remember every single time I pressed the button I got something really old.
I like helicopters with performance that is smoothed and enhanced with Funky Trees, that said I like the classic Trim control as it seems the most authentic to real life.
clamp(sum(pitch), 0, 1) and sum(roll) might work better because the turret won’t return home after you move it. Also pitch and roll might need to be capitalized, I forget
It's possible through some pretty complicated Funky Trees, I've never attempted writing it from scratch but I used some code from jamesPLANESiii on this car
@TalonTheCRTguy yeah if you need a GPU go ahead, although in my experience using a GT710 they aren't great at anything very intense. I use one for running a live stream somewhere, and it hits 80% usage just running a streaming software at 720p resolution. The SimplePlanes experience would be interesting to see as it is technically within the minimum specs I think
It's actually pretty easy to use variables for this, just type something into the switch in the input section, then type that same thing into the input section of something else.
@V yeah why are there periods in that link? Who thought that would work? When I posted the PS2 box art I remember you saying you would post a video of you playing SP on your 3DS, did that ever happen?
Also to anyone wondering, no this wasn't a thing.
@Tingly06822 @MVC wait so all you have to do is split up the parts, add texture to them in Blender, then put them back together? I didn't realize it was that easy! I gotta start messing around with this. I remember seeing that video when it came put, but at the time I didn't have the hardware or know how to do that.
Ey if you need any music or anything I’d be glad to help out for cheap/free, here's my youtube channel with a couple of examples of what i can do. It's not really a portfolio, but it has some stuff that basically shows I'm equipped to make game soundtracks. Also I'm helping make the soundtrack for World of Goo 2, if ya want somebody with “industry experience“
@Graingy yep, I saw that but forgot to edit :(
You should be able to run JUNO really well actually based on my experience on a crappy laptop
In other news, I built a PC and managed to run SP at over 1000 fps...
@Graingy The SP map is simplistic, but it works. If you've ever driven around the J:NO map though, you can tell it is, let's just say, hideously ugly. Functionally designed, but it ain't pretty.
It will work on Mac (with fairly low specs as well, if your current computer runs SP at a playable fps you should be fine). Also, it has backwards compatibility! So it’s not going to be a complete reset for all those years. I personally don’t know whether they should keep the site and add SP2 planes to it (seems a bit confusing) or make a second website where they need to grow a community from the ground up (and this community will slowly fade away)
@TheMouse it was from an email they sent me. You could hyperlink to that comment if you want.
+1From the developers:

+1I have a switch and an N64. Both are bangers ofc. Plus a PS2, a custom-built PC, and 2 laptops.
+1Your collection is honestly probably cooler.
not mobile friendly, doesn’t run on 1995 Tamagotchi
+1Mr silver wolf you started a copypasta 😈
These people don’t know, ask a moderator. The answer is probably no though
+1That was annoying to click.

+1How many upvotes would you want for this post? Actually, I’ve upvoted so many of your planes you should give it to me for free. 😈
+1@Graingy yes, grinding piano gave me enough skill points to increase my 2-handed weapon skills. I will achieve the stealth archer build one day.
+1@Majakalona bro why'd you get edgy all of a sudden
+1I liked it better when you were innocent
That kinda happened to me with guitar. Don't get me wrong, I'm not great at it, but I can play some chords and stuff.
+1I'm on a plain(Ooh)
+1I can't complain(Ooh)
I'm on a plain(Ooh)
@Majakalona Carl92 is a cultured reference
+1Making your text italian is the fastest way to success.

+1Boil it. Then it will evaporate and it’s very essence will fill the air.
+1I’m tagging a few people here, hopefully you guys will have some ideas and can help start a conversation.

+1Wait so you were born in 2012?
+1Minigame maybe?
+1@FlyingPatriot actually genius, I might want to look into this technique to get things to scale.
+1Yes.

+1@TalonTheCRTguy it's a GT710, those things are ancient, and after the shortage they've gone incredibly cheap
+1Umm I’m actually planning on building a dual-cpu pc in the near-distant future so we’ll see if it even connects to the internet lol
+1Mwahahaha
+1@PapaKernels I mean, I think they’re nice, they look pretty good and all, but I agree that there are so many cars I’d rather have for that price.
+1Did ya see simpleplanes 2 is coming out? Could be cool.
+1@AnotherRB if this is real please buy some thermal paste for $6 and fix it before your cpu literally cooks itself
+1It's actually pretty easy to use variables for this, just type something into the switch in the input section, then type that same thing into the input section of something else.
+1@Majakalona ooo dark mode script. Fancy.

Yeah you’ll be able to slap textures on those babies
+1That 3rd one could maybe be real life, it needs to get some image compression on it or something tho.
Also, thanks for using my guide! Glad it helped
+1This has no business being front page lol
