@CoBros2 It’s not illegal. Maybe it should be, but at this point they’re not going to change the validation code, and the tournaments are all but dead anyway.
@randomusername @IzzyIA Over the course of many car tournaments, Andrew was told about modded traction multiple times-even during the very first one almost 2 years ago. I actually asked him to ban it from future tournaments about 9 months ago. But he chose to allow it, so it’s not cheating. And there may never be another car tournament, so I wouldn’t worry too much.
@LiamW
Well, it's not expressly disallowed and it passes validation, which means it's implicitly allowed. One of the semi-finalists in this tournament used it. Without modded traction, that car is much slower and can't even finish the course. I think modding traction gives a comparable advantage to modifying weight or engine power for cars, and those are not allowed.
@Tully2001 Actuallly, though, if you ever get bored and have a couple minutes to kill, I would be curious to know whether or not this car misses that ring when you test it on your PC.
@EarthwormJim It is a clever move, and obviously it worked well and did not break any rules. Still, I am of the opinion that it should be disallowed in future tournaments. It makes an otherwise normal car into a supercar.
@Alienbeef0421 Huh, it seems you're right. That's too bad. I'm surprised he was even able to remove the cockpit, it's covered in a whole mess of pieces.

+2@Chancey21 It looks like a few more people are joining this one. I might give it a try.
+1@Baldovino Good job!

@TheStarTrekGuy @Chancey21 @mikoyanster Thanks!
@chancey21 Yep. I sat this one out.
@plane918273645
Thanks!
@BestBot @LegnaK @JohnnyBoythePilot
Thanks!
@marcox43 @SuperSanic
Thanks!
The tournaments are usually on Sunday mornings in the US. It might not start for another 11 or 12 hours.
@Baldovino Thanks!
@TTHHSSSS @EarthwormJim Thanks!
@AndrewGarrison Thank you!
@hopotumon Thanks!
@AndrewGarrison It seems that the validator mod doesn’t even check for modded max rpm on wheels. Is that right? That’s a really big loophole.
@chancey21 Thanks!
@Alienbeef0421 Sorry! We seem to match up a lot in these.
@hopotumon Thanks. Good race.
Thanks, all!
@EarthwormJim
Ha, I don't deserve such confidence. There's always a very good chance something will go wrong.
@ACMECo1940 Thanks
@Kerbango @Texasfam04 @ Maximis
Thank you!
@JohnnyBoythePilot @zap210 @EarthwormJim
Thanks! Woohoo
@Texasfam04 Thank you, and congrats!
@Earthwormjim Thanks. The AI will always torment us.
@LegnaK Thanks! These things happen a lot in these tournaments, oh well.
@LegnaK Thanks. I guess it wasn't quite reliable enough, though. It never failed...until it did, twice in a row. What a bummer.
@EarthwormJim Thanks. I haven't gotten around to this one yet. I'll probably end up making at least a token entry.

@bjac0 sorry! Thanks
@Tully2001 No worries, you won fair and square. Good job! And thanks.

@AndrewGarrison for future car tournaments, I humbly suggest that modifying wheel traction outside of normal values should not be allowed.
I wondered how it was accelerating so fast...you modded the traction.
@Baldovino Thank you! But Tully did a good job with his old car. His PC's performance must match Andrew's perfectly.
Sorry, man. Bad luck
@SuperSanic Yep, I see that. It's too bad. Oh well.
@Alienbeef0421 Huh, it seems you're right. That's too bad. I'm surprised he was even able to remove the cockpit, it's covered in a whole mess of pieces.
@SuperSanic Flyweight car tournament would be a good one. Even better would be a limit specifically on the number of engines you could use.
@GrumpyRacing
I guess I couldn't, either :)
Looks like trying a new tournament style was a good idea. This is the highest entry count we've had in months.
I have also been having fun with sailing
Video of speedy catamaran
I'm glad someone else is too!
@AdrianFlyingAce Of course, I already uploaded it
@FlyingThings For steering, you probably need at least one adjustable sail as well as a rudder
Sailing video
@EarthwormJim Mine is not so hot and will crash out quickly. And sadly, I won't be able watch this week. Good luck, all!
@KSPFSXandSP Yep, I'll get around to it eventually.
@KSPFSXandSP Same to you!
@KSPFSXandSP Haha, thank you. I'm better with cars than planes because there aren't as many variables to worry about. But KiNo is great at everything.
