Yeah the new graphics kinda screwed up some of the custom exhaust plumes that relied on the vividness of their color sprite, but I suppose there’s not much that can be done about it
@Vincent are my posts hidden from everyone or something, or am I muted? Also my comments are taking unproportionally long to post, and most of the time an error message just appears
Ok so before anyone says anything, I realize this is not SimplePlanes. It is a clip I recorded from a game called Dogfight Elite, I elaborated a bit more on the game in the YT description if you want to learn more. Basically, the focus of this video is that, I am running this on an iPhone 7, so it’s clear that it doesn’t require much processing power to handle. There are real trees in this game, and TONS of them! There are also real clouds, which albeit aren’t the most realistic looking, but still! Little cotton balls of white floof that you can actually fly through, are infinitely better than fake 2D clouds that are constantly above you. My point, and question for that matter, are on how possible this is for SimplePlanes, especially considering it doesn’t even take that much processing power to handle. The game also has water graphics similar to PC SimplePlanes, but this isn’t seen in the video. My idea is that realistic trees like the ones here, and realistic clouds may be easier to implement into the game than we think. Oh and btw, this game was made by a single developer, they made all of this singlehandedly, albeit with some help from supporters of course. Just goes to show how much can be done by only one person with a dream. (the game quality is much better while playing, trust me. FSR the recorder decided that 360p. is what we’re dealing with)
Thanks for reading!
This is freakin awesome! The skull ornament on top of it is spectacular looking, and the sheer detail in almost every part of the gun is absolutely incredible! This deserves a feature, without a doubt!
@24terrycast well this would obviously be easier irl than in SP, seeing that it wouldn’t be controlled by a drunk paraplegic; the AI doesn’t really control this aircraft very fluently. But it’s indeed possible in SP, you just gotta hope the AI doesn’t act up, and you have to be a good pilot of course.
@24terrycast of course it is! Read the description. It can accommodate hundreds of fighter aircrafts, all of which can easily take off from and land on the Actias’ Runway, complete with two ATC’s. Trust me, planes being capable of taking off from and landing on this thing is the least insane feature of the Actias.
@24terrycast make it small at first, and then scale it up to whatever size you want. Important to note that massive size means massive drag calculations, which means massive amounts of processing power are required to run it, usually enough to crash low end devices. So I recommend disabling drag calculations, and drag in general on all parts via Overload.
@AndrewGarrison aight, great to hear feedback! I may try to improve it when the challenge deadline passes, just so nobody accuses me of cheating or something stupid. I appreciate the suggestions!
@AndrewGarrison huh, sorry about that. I have no way of testing stuff in VR, idk how I’d go about troubleshooting with this. I could just scale the plane up, but then the size would be unrealistic, then again the cockpit of the SeaDart is actually kinda small looking irl, so maybe it’s fine? Idk lol, is it atleast useable and/or playable in VR, or does the small size hinder everything completely?
@X99STRIKER there’s a detacher inside the bomb, select the cockpit and use the part connections tool, you should see it. Kinda inconvenient actually, but I guess it works.
The point of a bomb whistle is purely for intimidation, just like the Jericho Sirens on the JU-87 Stuka. It’s just that much more scary to hear a high pitched whistling sound while on the battlefield, only getting closer and closer until it eventually impacts. Basically, it lets you know that you’re absolutely screwed before it even hits.
PSM Lobster sounds like something that we don’t necessarily need on the website, but nobody ever knew how much we wanted it until we got it. I’ll order 20 of them.
Yeah! I thought I was the only one, is the website just being slow due to the SPVR stuff being added, or is something else happening?
+1Are you implying that the T-75 is based on the AS-6
Really cool! The amount of stuff you can do with FT always surprises me.

@frogbot4000 idk someone who’s actually a liberal may get mad for literally no reason lmao

No, but the idea would work nicer if Winches had some slack to them, and weren’t constantly taut regardless of how extended they are
