If this is trying to do something following ¡UPLOAD TEST!, it won’t work. I only did that because it was a genuine test as far as we know, not trying to get any upvotes. For me, this was a one-off thing, and it will likely be that way for a lot of people.
If you want to get to silver, focus on making good content.
Note: if this was a genuine test, sorry for the misunderstanding and forget this comment, except the part about good content.
@Catdog613 If you want to make a vtol plane check out this tutorial (it’s what I used to figure out how to make this)
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/Fcdc5u/VTOL-Tutorial-for-Beginners#google_vignette
You are welcome to repaint and repost as long as there is an auto-credit (as long as you don’t do anything weird like transfer it to another build it should appear). Also, if you make any changes that are not 100% visual (adding or changing a part in ways other than paint), make sure that the Center of Thrust lines up vertically with the Center of Mass, and test it once you are done.
If you have any questions in making/modifying a vtol plane that the tutorial didn’t answer, reply to me
I only stumbled upon this by pure chance, so you’re lucky that I got to this. It does seem pretty cool, and I’ll upvote it when you re-upload. I also participated in this challenge. PS: delete this post once you successfully re-upload with the auto-credit
This is not a successor of the challenge, so it can’t be judged. In order to make it a successor, copy your entire plane (except your sleek cockpit part) into a subassembly. From there download https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/qFB5R3/Alternate-energy-challange
even though it is just a cockpit. Change out the cockpit if you wish and remove the blocks. Then, put your subassembly into that build space, and add the cockpit to your subassembly/plane. Finally, upload it. You will know if you did it right if you see an auto credit for the challenge. Reply to this is you have any questions or if it doesn’t work.
I just realized that I forgot to remove the fuel from the wings, but I don’t use it at all. Do you want me to re-upload it anyway? (If you want proof it doesn’t use fuel remove all of it in the primary wings)
In order to stop wing flap, you need to use the overload mod. Select the structural wing, open overload, go to the wing tab, and set allowControlSurfaces to “true”. from there, just add control surfaces.
I have a solution, unlike others I found, this allows you to fly around Snowstone with any plane uninterrupted, albeit it does require some setup first

@Spaceflower I made a solution, only requirement is that you must have ice base location, and you must follow instructions, but with this I can disable the ice base and fly around uninterrupted with any plane.
@50CalChicken You are actually able to do an instant reconnection by going into the attachments setting (this can be found via the turn commands, second from the top, looks like a plug going in an outlet) and using “Auto-Reconnect”. Hope this helps
@RenamedUser1964 Wing Flex may destroy Engines if they are attached to the wing by hitting them against the fuselage. It may also shake your plane. P.S. Another way to stop wing flex is to change the wing to “Wing-2” with XML, and reattach the wing

@Scrabble5555 Can I make one with a single missile? Thinking of making a stinger
+1@Graingy in thickness or length?
@GrandPrix sorry if this is to late, but I didn’t see a deadline

@Droopy I have a submission
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/tB6ms9/Dragonfly
Nice job! You should add the VR tag though so it can get curated
+1Very nice! Love the cockpit. One suggestion though, make it less maneuverable, as it is hard to control.
You will need to do this for every challenge, not just this one
@FLOWyz Being a successor is required. To do this, I gave you instructions. Go to your post to see it
P.P.S while you are at it, remove the fuel in the primary wings.

I just now realized that this is just a more elaborate version of going the distance. Still great though!
@Mousewithamachinegun123 yeah, resizable wheels don’t so I was forced to use fuselages, which turn out to make bad wheels.
@UnicornBunnys You should most likely use gizmos or the cleaver for propulsion, but it will need to be modified with the overload mod (allowed)
@Mousewithamachinegun123 Are props allowed if they are strictly decorative? (Thinking of making a fake wind turbine)
What kind of energy is banned? Is it just the stuff in the “propulsion” tab, or is anything else not allowed?
Very nice! It handles really well!
+1There appears to be a significant lack of landing gear. Great plane tho!
Note: please give credit if you use the cockpit
You can fly it with wings folded
l a g
+1Did you make this asymmetrical to induce pain?
@Hiimakeplanes that’s what I thought, I was just making sure
@StugnaATGM How does one join the multiplayer? I’m on mobile btw
@Hiimakeplanes there is no maywar on mobile, unfortunately.
@StugnaATGM Can I make an AA tank with missiles, like the one in the convoy?
@StugnaATGM If the next war challenge is maywar, how will mobile users work?
+1wot
+1@SwagAircrafts I made something to help do this w/ the Quadcopter/ Helicopter easier.

Nice Bomber!
@RPG2428 Are you talking about the undermountain docking bay at snowstone?
@AustriaHungary You should know that it is quite easy to build on mobile, I have made VR planes on mobile before.

@Aano78 There is now a discoverable location in ice base
@Spaceflower I made a solution, only requirement is that you must have ice base location, and you must follow instructions, but with this I can disable the ice base and fly around uninterrupted with any plane.
Edit: It also disables lasers

You can't lock onto bridges, you must use things like bombs, rockets, or cannons.
It's available on mobile now
This is from bomber escort mission
+1@GrandmasterPotato P.S. send a pic of plane.
@GrandmasterPotato I had a problem like this before, what I would do is is decrease blade diameter.
My solution would be make the ice base only attack you if you attack it first, like every other armed ground target in the game.
+1The Ice Base countermeasures hits bombs.
