I didn't even know there was an update until I saw the destroyer ships tailing the USS Beast! The very first thing I did was fly a helicopter on one of them and make a new location. The next thing I did was use the helicopter to shoot missiles at them.
Great design! Would it be possible to have yaw trim (like maybe vtol controls with a rotating block). This would really help with takeoff and landing. I can't believe this actually flies.
@JetstreamAeroEngineering I know the propellers are too big but it is just the ai opponents that explode. Could it be a problem with the starting point of the ai opponent?
What if there was a VTOL size air intake? The amount of air let in could be edited in edit mode and controlled with VTOL in game. That would be really nice for controlling the air intake more precisely.
The view is pretty nice there. I recommend going to tai o in south Lantau. Its a great cultural place and a few years ago, pink dolphins were common there!
@Chip2222 Also, you can put the cockpit in the front by taking off the nose, putting the cockpit near the top of the front and putting the nose back on.
The large blasto engines are overkill. When I switched to the smaller Blasto J90, the plane flew much better and was probably more realistic. Also, you may want to add a camera in to front for a pseudo cockpit view. Great plane though!
Works great, looks great! I'd say its more of a flying wing then a plane though. Good job!
@Delphirier yes but its not controllable. It just sort of flops about
@Skua a combination of fuselage blocks and structural wings
@TempestAviation The problem is that if it gets too wide, it starts becoming more rectangular instead of circular
@ACMECo1940 and batman still can't turn his neck
@KCferrari Imagine the lag though. A simple tap of the spacebar could crash the game
@FrankieB Thank you so much!
@ShatterFox I tried that many times but the problem still continues. The COM and COL are in the exact center so it might be a glitch.
pitch controls are reversed but this looks amazing! Good job.

@Feschterohjo nope
@TheMasterSoldier I've been able to make barrel rolls. Have you tried using the VTOL controls to aid you?
@Feschterohjo thanks so much. my first follower!!!!!!! Means a lot to me!
its funny how this looks almost exactly like the octocopter that I uploaded an hour ago! Great design and keep up the good work!

@Stampede thanks for the upvote btw
@Stampede But it still technically counts as an octocopter because the propellers are split between 8 sections.
@Stampede which one? I see you have made many helicopters
@FrankieB ok. thanks
@FrankieB So people actually listen to him and copy planes to get noticed? Is there anything I can do?
what is jelly? (ive heard of it but im still new to this community)
@Mrwhiskers85 thank you very much. I actually got the idea from a quadcopter that I made in another similar game, Besiege.
@ShatterFox It is also used for air traffic and some people just prefer using it over mph or km/h. knots is not restricted to maritime use.
or even knots because I believe that is the standard speed unit for planes. (unless it already is in knots because a knot is 1 nautical mile per hour)
@DeezDucks Oh. I thought that they would be under "show package contents" for the simple planes app but I can't find anything there.
@JetstreamAeroEngineering I know the propellers are too big but it is just the ai opponents that explode. Could it be a problem with the starting point of the ai opponent?
@dsr1aviation Oh. I didn't know there was a difference. Thanks for your help!
you have a bright simple planes career ahead of you. I almost died laughing.
@Jasperjl Oops I forgot to mention. I own a Macbook and have the steam version of Simple Planes.
Whenever I race against one of my own propeller planes, it happens to me too. I hope it gets fixed.
wow! did you make this?
@FIRESHOOTER Sorry for the trouble. Extra points for you I guess.
What if there was a VTOL size air intake? The amount of air let in could be edited in edit mode and controlled with VTOL in game. That would be really nice for controlling the air intake more precisely.
@FIRESHOOTER Actually, I didn't realise that I was basing this off of the laser gun. This is 100% my creation. It was just a mistake.
... only then did we realise that it looked like a tie fighter.
@dsr1aviation I've used that in a failed attempt at a walker but using rocket propulsion really isn't reliable enough
when a new game or movie comes out, build a scale replica of the coolest vehicle you can find.
@Flightsonic Ok. I'll see if I can edit those three things to make the plane fly better. Thank you!
Thats weird, it seems to control the same. I see that you changed the propeller and the elevators. What else did you change?
The view is pretty nice there. I recommend going to tai o in south Lantau. Its a great cultural place and a few years ago, pink dolphins were common there!
Pretty nice plane. Try making it roll less and pitch more. It looks so much better then what I could make.
Its a bit unstable because the center of mass is slightly too far back. Great job though. I'd upvote if I could but I don't have 30 points
Are you looking for a good design or something that would be realistically possible by a normal person?
