I love older mustangs. A lot of people know about the p51d and with all the movies and stereotypes about it it's kind of been ruined by culture. The 51D was never anything more than a bomber escort. It could be out dove and out climbed by almost every turn fighter and could be out turned by every energy fighter. The only reason so many survive is because it was a hit with civilians and so they didnt scrap as many after the war. The p51D was utter garbage in combat as any new pilot could easily keep up with even the most experienced p51d veterans. All in all the older variants had improved roll rate and could dive and climb better because they were lighter. They had higher energy retention and some even scored 20 milimeter cannons in the wings. I kind of like the built in canopy vs the dom one too, makes it feel like an American 109.

Btw if you ever wanna stop by, it's Tom Wood Airfield. It's an Indymetro field with a rather sizable collection of warbirds. Just a couple months ago we claimed a p51D! We also have an f6f with dark navy markings as well as several recon planes, I think at one point we even had a corsair but that was shipped out. Every now and then they do little wingtip formations around the area with the 51D as well as with another airfield's 51C. Yep thats right, Indianoplis is home to one of only two operational P51Cs on Earth!
Ingrediants are as follows: Grilled beef patty, toasted buns, dill pickles, fresh tomato, salt, and just a couple hundred gallons jet fuel, microwave until warm or defrosted. Side of Stalinade and Roosevelt action figure ONLY with purchase of fries or Willys mealJeep.
Gday! I hope you dont mind but I used the wings of this to make a, er, hamburger. This link should hopefully explain: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/tIVaIw/The-Hermann-Goring-Special
@Wolfieboy1555 It seems there was an issue with discord and you got lagged out or something of the likes of which occurred. If you would like to contact me more personally, my email is as follows: ntauclair@gmail.com Take care chap.
@Wolfieboy1555 Lol I like the "If you tell players their aeroplanes suck, then maybe you suck," Part. What exactly do they mean by "Off topic conversations?"
@Wolfieboy1555 also I just got braces a few days ago and DARN they hurt. I'm halfway through my freshmen year at high school and have things to look up to such as increased homework and my drivers permit. Uploading frequently will be possible though and I plan to make a p-63 or some non-posted warbird real soon when I get the time. :)
@Wolfieboy1555 I agree! I've only recently had time on my hands and this was just a mini project that took only about 30 minutes to whip up. I'll start making more original things as I am actively learning about the game and am picking up technique as I go! For example, I only just learned while designing the airbrake on the bottom of this plane that you can fully rotate parts with the little wrench icon.
Man thanks so much for the spotlight and the upvote! I'm so grateful for your and everyone else's support as I have now broken 100 Points! @Wolfieboy1555
@Wolfieboy1555 yes i know they are the things that stick up vertically on the ends of wings to reduce drag, like little vertical stablizers. Sorry for the mistake in typing :)
Incredible! I love the fact you can control the turrets and I even got it to work without crashing on my iPad (still working on the lag tho ;) ) great job mate, I hardly ever give out upvotes but this has definetly earned one. Love the cockpit 2
Hey I made an f-5 based of of this that I would like to post, it's not a copy and made a lot of changes but it still looks similar so I'm asking for your permission. Keep up the great work!
Can someone tell me how to stop it? When decelerate to 0% it starts going backwards. Other than that this thing is amazing! Quick tip: filling up the pads with dead weight will make it walk much smoother
Aww issocute!
+1I am currently working on making a meal out of this complete with stalinade and and a roosevelt action figure. What have I done with my life lol.
Thanks :)@mikoyanster
Wow, I went from 60 points to 195 points in one day after just two posts, I cant thank you guys enough!

I made a version with tires and a car engine. Can I post it for the lols?
Thanksgiving! @Griffinthedragon
Where’s the gyroscope?
It would be great if you could make a version with just a standard wing gun instead of the modded 120mm so that way mobile users can download this
+2*auto correct, thanks@IsaacHornblad

IDoNotKnowHowToDoSpaceDoYou?@BrianAircraftsNew
Who needs a camera when you can buy a $million drone?
Never*
True but I would enter want to ruin this beautiful design!
Challange complete. Take a look if you wish: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/b5zLkm/Boeing-777-9X-amphibius @SlowJet
@SlowJet XD I'll give it my best shot!
Yeah who ever made this did a nice job ;)@spefyjerbf
whats the difference between this and your more popular model? (other than torpedoes and color.)
Can you make one that works with a slow moving submarine? I love the sleek design and would like to make a working torpedo sub!
Can't wait for diving feature! Nice work!
Amazing drone!! A couple of suggestions: Make it shoot guardian missles as well as the interceptors :>
+1@HeatedWafflez lol same here
