Hey I mod aircraft and I chose the tomcat as my next project. I make the aircraft pretty much as realistic as possible, but with sp physics its a bit hard. But anyways so I saw how fast this craft goes and thought that it should be like 400 knots slower. So ive been playin with the engines but I cant seem to get it slower. Ive been able to bring it down to 700 knots with bolth wings swept forward and back yet its not slow enough. The cruising speed for the tomcat is 500 knots. So there are definitely more engines that I cant see. Can you point me towards them? Ive gotten the ones that creates the exhaust flames and the ones forward of those. Im assuming there is a third one but I cant find it, any help? Btw all of the engines that I know of has its powerMuiltiplyer set to -0.
Ok yea edit apperently now looking at the craft, there isnt a 2nd engine visable to me. Idk what I was talking about lol
I mean not really. It has some characteristics but primarily its based off the F-16. The single engine, the general body, also it is one digit off of a F-16. I mean this isnt patriotism and commi hating, this is just painfully obvious @BoYanCM8405
ok ? Never said that this F-5 is better than anyone. I just generally dont see why it “flies horribly”. I dont know much about the F-5 so I cant make a stance on if its realistic but it flies fine. @Kangy

What characteristic are you talking about? it pulls what feels like realistic AoA, yea the engines are a bit overpowered but that can be fixed by literally just overloading the engine to tune down the power, am I not getting smth here? I mean I dont know alot about the F-5 so is it something with the turn rate?

I just posted a new mod to your A10, it is mostly a remaster or the weopons, including dumfire AGMs, 2x Aim-9, and more. Mostly, that its. But I was wondering, can you make an update to the cockpit? Im thinking more of a detailed cockpit. Not one that completely kills mobile players, just a more detailed one. But if you dont want to, whatever its fine lol. Thanks
Hey I made a mod to this and its quite good. I gave her a new paintjob, I also rearmed her. I named them accordingly and some of the stats for the missiles are realistic, like for the AGM - 65. I also attached a canon along with the gatling gun so there is some splash damage, you will have to shoot them at the same time. Its been a while but I think I played with the engine settings aswell. There are some minor things aswell like I think I took off a pilon, deleted a few things so it might run a bit better for people playing on potatoes, and thats about it.
I can run it on my Iphone X SE just fine. Now that I think about it, i can run 3000 part aircraft with only just lag, nothing unbearable tho. Also, not every aircraft can be 500 parts, some aircraft require a higher psrt count to be realistic. If you cant download it, dont send “hate” (not really hate, but its just an uneeded opinion) for a personal problem @violettomatos618
the bomb 50s are 500 pounders, meaning that since the explosion scale is 500, these bombs are 250,000 pounds! now that is nothing compared to little boys 30000000 pounds, but still wow.
question, Im trying to add AoA like it does in real life but it seems to be extremely gryod, can you tell me where they are so I can play with the settings?

I mean 1. the dude I modded is super cool and openly is allowing modders to change stuff. 2. ripoffs are items that have very little changes done in order to get morw views, I changed pretty much everything. Only thing that is generally original is the actual airframe if you downloaded it. I also dont go striving for views. Idc really if it doesent get noticed, I just enjoy modding things, and if I think its good enough or big enough of a change, ill upload it. @UsernameTH5
yea i downloaded the F-5, thought of the staging system in 2 minuts, and just played with it a little to make sure it doesent completely suck. Could be better with some XML editing though. I didnt post it bc its just too little of a mod to post. When I mod aircraft, I usually change big portion of the aircraft. Either it be the control surfaces, weapons, or whatever. I just enjoy doing it, i dont really think about how good this would be if somebody just downloaded it @UsernameTH5
ok just looked at it again. Still same thing, engines need system needs to be completely redone bc I cant get the accel right, but everything else generally feels fine idk@Kangy
edit: k i could be being. oblivious rn but I literally just fixed the only problem I saw in like 2 minutes. I set up a staging system where you use primary throttle when taking off, then activate AG 6 to activate a second engine of which will get you up to around 300 kn, then you just activate AG 7 that starts another engine that will get you up to 500 kn at the deck, its not rocket science

Hey question, for the AoA limiter, and for whatever part you entered the input for it, what was input (specifically the line of code you entered as the input) to enable the aircraft to understand “hm yes maybe I shouldn’t go past this AoA”? I ask because im currently adding a cockpit to one of my mods and since its a sukhoi with thrust vectoring, I want to add a AoA warning light

The thrust vectoring feels so much better. I did a small cobra at like 300 kts TAS and she does it beautifully! Nice
