@ShinyGemsBro The thing is, It doesn't use any beta parts, I'm not sure if it bars you from downloading it on other platforms. Android has the SP beta as well, unless you're using a non-steam copy on PC.
ok ok
I'm going off of memory here so I might be wrong
For windows I think it's located at (drive letter):\ Users\ (Your user)\ Appdata\ Locallow\ Jundroo\ Simpleplanes
but for android it's found in Android\data\com.Jundroo.Simpleplanes
I dont know the ones for mac or IOS.
I might be wrong on this.
Well in order for mods to completely disable, SP needs to be restarted. So what I would do is; 1) Disable the mod, 2) Close SP, 3) Remove the mod from the mod folder, 4) Insert the new mod/version into the mod folder, 5) Start SP, 6) Activate the mod.
Not sure if this will actually work, but hey, I'd say give it a shot.
I hope this helps!
Well I don't know about the long range light or delayed cannon, but if you set the input of the light to "FireWeapons" via xml, it lights up whenever you hit that button.
@WiFly look it up on google, there's a lot of cool concept designs to go off of. It's not exactly required to use magnet parts, you could just use a cannon part, but if you want challenge, go right ahead and use the magnets. I'd definitely like to see that.
Based on your description of grey targeting boxes, I am led to believe that you haven't selected a target. Simple answer, tap the box on the desired target and then follow the targeting circle advice
As for expectations, It's really all over the place with golds like us, but I personally go for a few, high quality builds once every two weeks or so (Although I put everything on hold untill 1.11 comes out)
But for the burnt-out thing, Try making a fictional company/country/universe (Depending on the scale you want). It's really what is keeping me going at the moment. Maybe even get a bit risky and make some superplanes.
About making super futuristic planes,
...
I dont know lol
Oh boy there's so much stuff to learn. Definitely look into Funky Trees, and XML modding when you can. That I didn't get into after about a year of SP, and I wish I would have sooner. While initially XML modding, and FT are a bit daunting at first, it becomes very easy over time.
But before you do any of that make sure, first and foremost, to get used to the game, it's physics and it's editor before trying these advanced techniques.
@KingHandspider might want to update this for 1.11
+3@TerTech yeah that's the one

@WiFly A railgun?
+1It is a weapon that uses magnetic forces to propel a projectile at very fast speeds

hmmmmmm I'd like to see if you can incorporate a railgun onto a plane

+1I'd say go for it. There's tons of stuff you can do in SP. But unlike SR2, there's no space :P
+3If given a choice get the PC version of the game.
