Ah well, too bad — let’s just say I’m better now than I was previously lol. I’m not doing a whole lot these days other than caretaking for father (which is sometimes demanding and sometimes not) and trying to keep my old truck running nominally lol. Plus I do some odd jobs for a few other septuagenarian friends. Trying to be safe and stay covid free. What about you? @TDCraft
Oh man! What the hell! Did you report to the mods or anything? Congratulations on hitting plat by the way, really a shame you had to delete the account… why don’t you post all your old builds on your new acct? Maybe you can update them with glass/gauges if you feel like it, and at least start to regain some of your rank a bit. Plus I think if all those builds were no longer accessible to any users ever again — many of them were the best example of their respective original source vehicle — that would be really sad… @TDCraft
What sort of bother do you mean? Someone was harassing you or what? I’m sorta surprised, considering I’ve found the SP community to be one of the least toxic I’ve encountered online…
What about all your old builds though? They’re all taken down I guess? @TDCraft
Wow man the look of this plane is awesome! Great concept, and well executed. That thing is ready to strike fear into the hearts of every spitfire in Europe! The flight characteristics are great; it rolls and pitches smoothed and balanced, and also fast but not unrealistic. And good job in the cockpit too, they take a lot of work, but I definitely think it is worth the payoff. Really nice work my friend I love it!
Thanks man!!! Yeah it required a good bit of patience. I always used to focus on builds that I could complete in 1 or 2 days. But if you really wanna do it right, you gotta take your time, and not be rushed to post. I modified the smoke machine slightly, but the original creator is @MrSilverWolf. Building it requires that you use Overload to edit the values for the gun; size of projectile, color, velocity, and a bunch of other stuff. Yes, I agree with you that the Lotus 49 is a fantastic and sexxxy machine. Really I love all the F1 cars from that era. Unfortunately I really only build planes, I’m not sure I have the skills to do such an intricate ground vehicle build... although I suppose there’s a first time for everything, and the best way to learn is to practice. But I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you, in terms of me taking this on. Actually I’ve really been struggling to set aside time for SP lately. But I will say, one of the greatest car builders in SP imo is @tylerdeveneuxmusic. I can’t volunteer to you his services on his behalf, but if you want someone to build a great replica of the Lotus, he’s the builder I recommend you ask. Thanks again though man, that made me feel really good :)
This is just such a fantastic build. Looks are amazing, livery is top shelf. The cockpit is simple and partial, gives just enough immersion effect without being a huge part count burden, plus the moving of the perspective when pulling up hard is great. Performance as far as I would know is spot on. All the AG functions are useful/real, not dumb or unrealistic, and they add a lot to the realism of the plane. Building craftsmanship is completely top builder level. My favorite part though, is the landing gear. Great look and mechanism, very clever with the covers, opening and closing half fast, half slow, minimizing the wheel-going-through-cover problem. I just love the lg. And finally, the description presentation is attractive, informative, entertaining, and on par with the quality of the plane. Exemplary work my friend, I’m so impressed.
There’s tiny jets attached to the elevators and rudder and then one jet engine turned backwards to counteract their net forward thrust. So then when stopped or at low speeds it acts like there’s prop wash. I couldn’t get it calibrated just right, so it causes the plane to be too maneuverable during normal flight, so I had to give it an on/off switch. @ACEPILOT109
Maybe cause it comes pre-loaded on the game? That sentence sounds sarcastic but that is actually my guess not a snarky remark. @AnelGaming
Edit: actually I don’t know cause it is slightly different than the one that came pre-loaded (at least for me). Maybe it depends on when you bought the game or something.
Absolutely, thanks for your help! I fear however, that because the description is so long and your plug is at the bottom, it might not generate much traffic :/
Oh well. Anyway, I’ll be looking forward to checking out where you are on the Aerobus!
@tylerdeveneuxmusic
There’s jet engines (scaled down in size and mass) attached to the elevators and rudder that provide thrust in a way that acts similar to real prop wash. There is also another jet engine that is facing backward, and has the same thrust as all the other engines, to make the net thrust zero. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty cool haha. If you take apart the tail section of the plane you’ll see how it’s laid out. Also, it’s not my invention. I don’t know who designed the system, but @jamesPLANESii and @Chancey21 taught me how to do it so maybe it was one of them.
@ZHUAREVONI
Thanks a bunch man! And I’ll tell you why you like planes that have visible engines. It’s cause engines are sexy! Lol
Thank you for the praise and feedback, it is very much appreciated.
Now, as for the Draco:
Yes, the Draco is a very very incredibly cool badass STOL Bush plane. So I have some good news for you and some bad news. The bad news is that I will not be building the Draco. The good news is that it has already been build by a more skilled and more experienced builder than myself. Once again, it is @jamesPLANESii, whose DC-3 I mentioned to you earlier. So yeah his Draco is as good or better anyone on the site could do. So go check it out here.
All that being said, thank you for making building requests, and hopefully someday I’ll be able to actually build one lol.
Oh haha gotcha. Yeah the DC-3 is a very cool plane. I’m not sure I could build it though... I mean I’ve never built a plane that size... I guess maybe that’s something for me to aspire to. However, @jamesPLANESii did build a DC-3. You can check it out here. It’s a rather old build, but still very good. It would be easy to modify it to make it more chrome-y :)
@PlaneCreator1
Yess, I agree; the comics may not align to everyone’s sense of humor, (which is a near impossible task anyway) but they are a positive contribution to the forum. @CrashFighter05 @Awsomur @ChiyomiAnzai
:( :( well if I happen to find a solution in my quest, I will be happy to share it with you lol. At least I feel better knowing that other top builders struggle with this as well (not that I consider myself a top builder, but you know what I mean)
@tylerdeveneuxmusic
Yeah me too lol. I was working on the starling to make it a better STOL plane (btw did that competition already happen?), and I realized it was doing this drifting. I keep a save file for every step when I’m building and modding. So I had like 30 save files from the original plane till now. I looked through all of them to figure out when it started (cause I apparently didn’t notice the change even though it happened a long time ago). Once I found the save file where it first started, I spent like two hours trying to figure out the difference between the two (it was from like 6 months ago lol) and I couldn’t figure it out :( @Chancey21
No you don’t need to remove it, but you should add something in the description that someone else built it. You could say, “I think this cockpit may have been built by @sarpanitu but can’t confirm”.
I’m about 90% sure this was built by him (although it looks modded), but since he appears to have deleted his account, we may never know. Sweet build btw, good job!
@MDippold1995

+1This is really cool man
+1That Montana badge tho...
+1Ah yes i see that now.
+1@Gameboi14
Two P50s next to each other is like 3 1/2 feet or something lol.
+1Excellent work
+1Oh gotcha @Gameboi14
+1Haha fair enough buddy :)
+1@Gameboi14
She’s built like a steakhouse but she handles like a bistro!
+1Well given Codsworth and Mr Gutsy and whatever, I’m pretty confident that FO4 is Fallout 4 lol

Sweet build!
How about the “Pterobus”?

+1Cool!
+1Very cool!
+1Hahaha
+1@Gameboi14
Cool man! Cool looking, flies well. I guess I’d say the pitch rate could be just a tiny bit quicker, and maybe some air brakes?
+1Now I have to rebuild the superstol lol

+1Those mods sure are nice chaps! ;) ;)
@Wr25
Well I’m familiar with all the Fallout stuff but I don’t know the other two references. @Gameboi14
+1Lol that went over my head
+1Lol this is a good one I love it
Good job buddy
+1Lol good man A+
+1Lol cool. But if the comic is not turned in by tomorrow you will get an F on the project!!
+1Yess, I agree; the comics may not align to everyone’s sense of humor, (which is a near impossible task anyway) but they are a positive contribution to the forum. @CrashFighter05 @Awsomur @ChiyomiAnzai
+1Awww precious! Lol

+1Mmm, okay. My build is less than 1,100lb lol so I must’ve knackered something real bad...

+1Very cool! I especially love the retractable dish. Awesome work man

+1Honestly I’m surprised you’re having a hard time with it... @PlaneCreator1
+1Sweet!
+1Thank you sir! And yes, absolutely is the answer @Chancey21
