@UFNNICF5TF Yes, the longer nose does make it harder when trying to land on the small carriers like the F4U corsair, however the slow approach and landing speed help making the deck.
@F104Deathtrap thanks! yes the taibooms are a bit long, but when i originally had them shorter during development the plane would stall during low speed pitch maneuvers like takeoff and landing. lengthening them helped control it at low speed.
@Kipo taking off is difficult, to get it as fast as I could on 500HP I needed to get the biggest prop I could on. Slowly advance the throttle while fully pitching nose up. Once the rear wheel is off the ground, then advance throttle to full
Addition: Yes this aircraft is a re-upload, however a lot of large changes have been made since the first time so i decided that it would be worth uploading again to share my improvements.
@MEERKAT978 yeah haha i have probably 40-50 sub assemblies. There is some custom landing gear, a bunch of inline engines, some XML wing guns. I'll post them!
@TheOwlAce i have yet to find a good way to make turrets move both up and down as well as side to side. I could have made them move in only one way, but that just feels unfinished
@TheOwlAce takeoff spped needs to be high with the tailwheel back there so close to the propeller, but if you push the nose down slightly the bounce back up, she is able to lift off the runway easily.
@BogdanX thank you! most of my planes I have to keep small and low detail because i mainly create on mobile, so im glad someone sees the simplicity as a plus.
@WaltIsNoobatSP69 just posted more! hope they help being your plane to life
+1@SimpleTankers yes, the Corsair had the arrestor hook for carrier landings. The charger is mainly ground based so the hook was omitted from the design

+1I fly the 172s in real life for pilot training and this is the most accurate creation in simple planes I've ever seen. bravo!

+1@Sunnyskies lol now that you mention it it does look a lot like a p 61
+1@NobleMobileUser it has the same landing issues that the Corsair had, however longer land based runways should mitigate that issue.
@ACBrasil obrigada!
Looks nice! The farings behind the engine gives it a nice interwar look

@TitanIncorporated new planes should be out soon! had to take a break for school
@yellow8041 that would be great, thank you!
@TitanIncorporated im on it!
@TitanIncorporated sure, what plane do you need help with??
@MEERKAT978 yeah haha i have probably 40-50 sub assemblies. There is some custom landing gear, a bunch of inline engines, some XML wing guns. I'll post them!
@CRJ900Pilot thanks, the cockpits are always the hardest to do haha
@BlackhattAircraft thats the look i was aiming for, just with two engines like the gloster meator.
been wanting this for a long timeee
@Mostly thanks! I have four or five new
planes that im about to realease in the next couple of days.
Note: the 4 20mm cannons on the wings are set to converge at 500m(.3mi)
@TheOwlAce i have yet to find a good way to make turrets move both up and down as well as side to side. I could have made them move in only one way, but that just feels unfinished
@F104Deathtrap thank you!. the nose was my favorite part to build, having to XML parts to create the radial engine.
@TheOwlAce indeed
@TheOwlAce have doen some major mods to the plane since this version, will post the new place soon
@TheOwlAce went for a WWII japan look with this plane, not sure if i hit the mark however haha. id love to hear any imput you have on it
@TheOwlAce takeoff spped needs to be high with the tailwheel back there so close to the propeller, but if you push the nose down slightly the bounce back up, she is able to lift off the runway easily.
@Noobster take a look at the KI-362 B firefly on my page. same plane but instead of bombs has a cannon in the nose!
@jamesPLANESii thank you! I have a simular plane, the p- 54 stingray, that I plan on uploading tommrow if you're interested in seeing it as well.
best 163 ive ever seen
