@Flightsonic
Thanks again, I made a successor that can align itself using brakes now https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/m7Ch4I/Raccoon-MK-12
@TrislandianAlliance
@Flightsonic thanks so much, I didn't know it was referred to as AngleOfSlip, I'll try to implement that.
@TrislandianAlliance it would definitely be very cool
@AerialFighterSnakes oh no they didn't make electric engines, I just used their new funky trees input functions to make rotators behave like throttleable motors.
@Freerider2142 yeah the throttle/Collective mixing was for simplicity as I kinda wanted to test my theory in a hurry, though I can make the collective controlled with trim for the sake of realism.
@Jerba that's because the rotors intermeshing at an angle causes them to apply torque in the horizontal axis, making the thing pitch back when you let go of the throttle.
@Mustang51 yeah I'm pretty simple with my planes so something like this wouldn't come from me, I love the compliment and I'm sure @RamboJutter would appreciate that being said of his build.
@Mustang51 the only thing that's XML edited is the engine, the cockpit size, and the structural wings to allow for control surfaces, the rest is the game's default, so I assume this particular configuration is inherently stable as long as the turn rate doesn't exceed a certain angle of attack threshold, where it otherwise begins spiraling when pitch is applied (since it's all symmetric airfoils and those don't handle very well at high angles of attack)
@AndrewGarrison I have a suggestion, it would be nice if one could xml edit weapons so they don't have advance targeting show up for them, or that the game had the option to toggle it on or off, I made the tank cannons work for air to air but they still show the trajectory arch when my aircraft points towards the ground, which can be a bit distracting when I'm aiming at an AI opponent.
@BnanaX huh? They should!
Looks cool as hell, reminds me of that Caprica plane you made.
@TheReturningHound The F-42 from Sauce
I love this
I like it
If you're gonna use a build made by one of the most well known and recognized users in simple planes, at least don't make it look so ugly.
It's also not fair for others who genuinely spent time making original designs for this challenge.
I JUST realized that it's not a 15 part challenge, it's a 10 MINUTE challenge.... Oh well, I like it a lot anyway.
Is landing gear required?

Is p-factor really that drastic from a dead start?
Time to restore it into a racer
Sweet rebuild!
Oh my God the wing twist, the S ducting, the inlet bump, I love it so much!!
I can't favorite this for some reason, it's a good guide.
Big fan of the design.
@TophatAirkraft no
@Diloph on the engine
@MintLynx sure!
@AerialFighterSnakes I could try.

@QingyuZhou thanks!
Adorable, love the segmented wings, gives a bit of realism to the wing's flexibility.
@edensk thanks!

old Post, uses hydraulics@Lizardman06 I'm glad! You gotta send me the link sometime if you post it.
@Lizardman06 thanks!
@Mustang51 I might just do that
Ugh I forgot to reflect the chine fin under the wing

Holy crap I love it!
@Lancelot20021230 it'd alright dude, you did a fantastic job!
@Jerba that's because the rotors intermeshing at an angle causes them to apply torque in the horizontal axis, making the thing pitch back when you let go of the throttle.
LMFAO how does it even work?
My S20 can handle it, I was not expecting to see a genuine weapon this friggin powerful
^.=.^
@RamboJutter
OO THAT'LL BE SWEET
I love this so much
@AZNDUDE67
Thanks! I like to think they're pretty neat too
@Mustang51 not really, just wanted to improve the flight characteristics a bit.
@ThomasRoderick thank you, I appreciate it!
Gorgeous job, and it's not even 700 parts, keep it up!
@AZNDUDE67 thanks man, a slight polish can do wonders.
@schneider821 thanks!

@Mustang51
I was surprised at how stable it was myself
@AZNDUDE67
I love it
