I need to say, it's quite beautiful for this size, and it's probably the coolest P-51 ever posted, but I'm really surprised (and little deceived) how it lags so much on my iOS device; I
mean, it lags more than a 800 piece aircraft, and it's so small, I am shocked a little bit. Maybe it's iOS 9 which do this, but it lags so much it's unbelievable
@NovaTopaz Yes, I remember that time :D I came the first day SP has been launched on iOS (December 2014 if I remember well) and it was the golden age of this game (people helping others to do planes that were kinda crappy today, but masterart in the time), but I wasn't there on the first beta (with the different hall, back to @BoxGlow domination on the game)... But yes, I'm already nostalgic of the very start of SimplePlanes, when there was no points (Was so cool) or following, just bad airplanes that were awesome. Today, I think that it's the point system that is the major shot-on-the-foot (French expression, "se tirer dans le pied") of this game... The time when @KevinMurphy was just a random user called WeeBabySeamus is now far, far away... :(
@SpiritusRaptor @Delphinus I know that you are checking new airplanes and helping newbies, but what I was meaning is the phenomena of "the first who will upvote the plane without even uploading" is what is the most bad with people; they will only check highest rated category and never new category, and there are much people who are ignored by most of community but that have talent, and that will just brake their motivation. It's the research of building THE airplane that will bring you e-pop (I'm talking about majority of people, not you two buddies), and this is what is braking the fun of posting airplanes. I gave up since a while personally
I'm totally agree with @NovaTopaz in the fact that you absolutely need to mod intensively a plane to have points; back to the start of the game (I do remember the little community back to the time), modding wasn't there, neither different landing gears, customizable prop engines or rotators, even activation groups. It was just three detachers that can be activate just one time, and it was all. I remember the first Scriefers's planes (probably the first popular builder): back in time it was awesome, but if you would repost them right now, nobody would bat an eye and they would pass in the mass (his first plane, the Me 262, was REALLY basic but in time it was a masterpiece due to limited choice of blocks)... I'm probably the guy from the start who have the less points, but I just gave up. I passed dozens of hours on my glider and on my VGSV-TT, and even if my glider got near an hundred download, there was just an upvote (same on my VGSV-TT that was a nightmare to build and to adjust) since people don't like to upvote low-points users's planes. And what I think is deplorable, is the phenomena of immediate mass upvoting of popular builders's creations. Just check the next @SpiritusRaptor or @Delphinus plane: it will gain something like 15 upvotes after an hour, for maybe 20 downloads, just to be the first to upvote the plane, while you will see a random guy's plane, which will be good, and in total will have been uploaded 60-70 times, for one or two upvotes. This, is what I think is bad in the bigger and bigger SimplePlanes's community.
The thing here that people don't seem to understand is that it does require a LOT of work, first, and that this game is called SIMPLE Planes. If you want complicated things, go on KSP. This game is supposed to stay SIMPLE, so to don't have limitless options.
Oh boy I do remember your first droplet, I thought it was absolutely amazing at the time. I just came back by curiosity (I haven't played the game in like 5-6 years) and I'm a bit disappointed in how much the game focuses on PC players, at the detriment of mobile players: most planes seem to be too big to be able to properly run on a mobile device. I still remember the very beginning of the game and how everything was running smoothly on mobile since the Steam edition didn't exist, so yeah it's nice to see nowadays a high quality build not using >500 parts.
I passed through GOF2 so much times, I must have passed at least 300 hours on it with multiple parties, and I think the most easy ship to do on Simple Planes would be the Gryphon (wings in design, and weapons aren't a problen to put on), which is one of my favorite ships; the VoidX would be fun to do and the Phantom is nearly obligated to be created. The Wraith is still good too...
(I'm talking of their non-HD versions, HD ship versions aren't looking as great as original)
That's great, but I was thinking it was only aerospatial, but it's not. It's also with control towers (I don't know in English how the people that work on control towers are called), and aicraft maintenance, along with aerospatial. I've done it and it's great but there is many theory, and I don't know your age, but cadets that does BATAC are generally around 13-14 years old. Well, I don't know, program may vary between Alberta and Quebec, but that's what I've experienced at Bagotville
Before 2000 we used to be something like 80-90... There are some unified squadrons in the region like the air/army cadets squadron 92/2864 but nothing like two air squadrons, it's the first time I've heard this (there are some army cadets squadrons and one navy cadet squadron but mainly air squadrons)... In fact if you know Bagotville, my squadron is pretty near to it. Are you near of Cold Lake?
Yeah, I'm totally agree with this. Feature function is for unknown people's planes, WHO DESERVE TO BE SEE BY THE MAJORITY OF THE COMMUNITY. It's like asking to have the Medal of Honor or Victoria Cross; you don't f**king ask to got the medal (even if you ask to it they will royaly ignore you); it's other people that ask the medal for you, only if you deserve it.
In general (always, in fact), it will be the community that will find and suggest the planes that should be featured, not you, god damnit. I am the perfect example of this; I should be the last old one on this website that is still not to gold, silver or even bronze, and I never asked to got any featured plane; I don't deserve it, my planes are not something that should absolutely be seen by all this website. In resume, my planes are not of the level to be featured. Dot of the line.
@DeezDucks Well, I never saw any Uhu before. Maybe it was during the long absence of 1 1/2-2 months I did, but personally I never saw any Uhu here, and I'm here since a good lot of time
@Wahoo12 Even if the 6 cylinders of the 911 is a classic, I prefer WAY much, or a V8 Street Hemi (f*ck these Ford 427pc, Hemi is DA answer), or a classical V12 Ferrari in the red zone (start to sound great around 6000 rpm), even if it become rarer and rarer, the fault to these horrible hybrid turbo V6 in F1 (it's not even an engine this thing, it's not F1 anymore)
Good old Merlin in overruning; the Jumo 211 that equiped the Ju 87, combined with Jericho trumpets; a DB 610 (BF109) that pass through your head; and a Klimov engine (Mig 15).
On a more peaceful note, the 4 cylinder Lycoming that is on Cessna 172 is just marvelous, even if its sound in flight is coming from everywhere and is really too high in flight in the cockpit
@tominator Yeah, but I've passed really much hours on my last one and almost nobody saw it, and I'm not good for replicas. Anyway, there's a plane I'm planning to do (Ki-55) and I plan to do a new version of my gliders. Anyway, I wasn't really go away since I was more downloading and commenting planes than building some
The TU-95 that launched Tsar Bomba was white...
+6@Wildblueyonder578 It's the rotator, so it's normal, but anyway I think it's already cool that it does features this animation
+3I need to say, it's quite beautiful for this size, and it's probably the coolest P-51 ever posted, but I'm really surprised (and little deceived) how it lags so much on my iOS device; I

Next time go with arty
@Pilotmario Never thoughted to it: anyway with "new" physics you can flip a Maus so no more ammo needed
God, you have had ameliorated really much in building planes since last time I passed...
Is your mod stat new?
No polar bear on the paintjob?
Next time go with stronk tank KV-2
"I know Prince Valium is an hard pill to take but cmon..."
Such a good movie :)

Because this thing (Hetzer) isn't even able to go through a Mathilda (in fact nothing can pass toward it)
Great one in WOT Blitz; but I'm for SU-85B (I don't like American Tanks) on this one; anyway didn't tested it with 10,5 cm cannon, should test it...
P.S: If someone wanna play on Blitz and is on North American server, add me to play (my pseudo is still Lolivier on Blitz)

What are you gonna apply for this summer? I'm thinking of CASA since last summer I've did BATAC camp, pretty cool
Before 2000 we used to be something like 80-90... "Only about 110 show up every week"
Damn, even in old times we weren't as much... What is your grade? I'm flight caporal (should be sergeant but I started cadets late)
That's great, I'm in Quebec; how much are you in your squadron? We're maybe 26, no more, including officers
52 air cadet squadron is in what province, I'm in 766 RCAC air cadet squadron
Really fun to fly and beautiful, really neat I like it
2 months of absence; seems like a good plane to restart :) Good job for your beaver
When we compare this one with the old one, I'm just blowned away. Amazing.
Rating only with the amazing look

Finally somebody done it, I'm quite impressed by your work
@ACMECo1940 I'm from Canada (not Thailand)
I can see you put effort, either on the plane and on the description, and I appreciate it :) You got an upvote
I mean on the ground
@ACMECo1940 Why are you asking me this question?
Sorry, I was sleeping/on school... And I just asked the lower part of the cockpit, not an entire plane...
I just would need an extension of it and it would be perfect (really sorry for bad explanations)
@XVIindustries Yeah, but there is a difference between piston-propelled aircrafts and jets

Thanks, but I mean the lower part of the cockpit that was hard for me, sorry
Here is a picture so you can see the form of the cockpit

Looks great, but you need to always pull back the stick cause if you drop it just a bit of second, the plane does a flip and crash
@tominator Yeah, but I've passed really much hours on my last one and almost nobody saw it, and I'm not good for replicas. Oh ok
What is it supposed to be? Also, I'm seeing this more in a tricycle configuration than in classical configuration
That will be useful, thanks
Shit it didn't worked, I will do it one thing at the time

I will upload you the thing and some images so you can see
I'm quite surprized too, this is the ideal big plane to be in the game
