@WalrusAircraft: This is great! Unfortunately I can't play it on my iPad. Have you ever heard of "Battleship Craft" on iOS? About the same as SimplePlanes but with battleships. I have the (hacked) installer online for anyone interested, only jailbroken iOS.
@WalrusAircraft : Using Mistel bombs convinced them to go the radio guidance way, like the FritzX or Henschel 293 torpedo. Mistels were great against huge targets but the lack of guidance on the terminal phase meant that most missed. They were more like siege artillery, really... Ever seen the Me109 and DFS glider combo?
Reminds me... this Me109-version had to be used during the Overlord landings in Normandy; later Fw190s were used.
Captain Horst Rudat of KG101 received some (St Dizier, France) and those were used against the beachheads. They probably hit the Courbet, an old French battleship that was being used as a block ship for the British Mulberry-harbour at Courseulles.
At first, I'd like old-fashioned gravity-assisted iron bombs (Mk82 GP bomb style) that affect the landscape in some way. (Smoke markers) Then maybe add rockets amd generic 50-cal style MGs. Guided missiles require an opponent and that might be a lot more coding.
@AndrewGarrison : Actually, I use the website for that, especially since you added the 'private' option. You might want to promote the local backup variant (maybe save to icloud / add to email-option) to save yourself the disk space server side.
@WalrusAircraft : Thanks for the explanation! Hmmm, I think I can't do any of that on my iPad, too bad :( Still, make do with what I've got! Flew it some more last night, wonderful plane.
OK, that's really beautiful. I just flew the thing and I'm really happy with it. The canopy is MUCH better nad the lettering... Wonderful! I have NO idea how you got those curved fuselage parts to overlap, I'd love to learn and pulling your plane apart just tells me hoe good you are, not how you did it.
@Meawk : that whole five-star explanation was how I had started to do things. How somebody else rated was their business. I think the change is good, though.
@FPRed : okay, you're right. Look, for me there's nothing wrong with building a fantasy plane. But I strongly dislike unnessecarh accessories. A plane this size doesnt need six engines, for example. The tail is overcomplicated and judging by the location of the cupolas, the plane is bigger on the inside than on the outside. Also, the B-45 was an entirely different plane, the North American Tornado. A more logical name would have been (eg.) FP-17 Gigabomber (because its based on a B-17).
@FlOu : I wasn't being obnoxious, I meant the question. I was proud of my first planes too, and they were utter cr*p. My wife asked me a similar question and I had to admit I wasn't very happy with my build. Which made me improve myself... I understand what you say but it wasn't meant the bad way. @Meawk : Sorry if I expressed myself unclearly. I'll be more specific next time.

@kikasshes : thaks for the criticism! But I'm not sure about what you mean by authority, language issue I guess. Could you explain? I'd like to make it better!
@Meawk: It isn't, you're right. It's more like an impression; I can't seem to do this better on my iPad. Thanks for the four stars though, I think that's an appropriate reating!
@FlOu, @Meawk: Look, this is a five minute job. It's allright if that's what you want to build but don't expect a five star rating. Five stars are for REALLY good planes. For example, @Scriefers' new Thunderbolt. THAT gets you five stars. This is not a cuddling group.
This is a good, simple impression of a Ju88. Yes, there's some errors (ailerons!) and I don't like the cockpit parts very much (but know no alternative) but the build is good and the parts are few. I like that! Also, I think I'll modify this into a G6 variant, with the conical nose and FuG240 radar. It might be very good at shooting down crappy planes ;)
Damn you sir! My own 152 is nearing readiness but yours is better! Grumble grumble... But there is clipping which I do not like much, hence the four stars.
I flew it for a while; blew up the prop on my first takeoff and stalled once while landing. It would be nice to add a stronger prop, though. My 'simple' Fw190 is quite a lot faster. I'll keep this on my device for a while and I think use it in my next story.
Absolutely great bird, this. The IRL version is one of my favourite planes. This one is nice too, but no five stars. The rear fuselage doesn't line up properly (top & down halves), the gap between the wings is too obvious, there's no engine cooling intakes and AFAIK the planes never carried bombs externally; some even had expanded bomb bays rather than wing racks.
Okay, hang on here. I like tanks even more than I like planes. I'm quite nitpicky on the subject - I can tell a German tank from the bolts used in its suspension so please understand when I'm just a bit critical.
* The tank uses jet engines. It's not an M1A1 (but what else would you have used?)
* The tracks are horrible (but doing better would have been very hard; putting slanted panel pieces for track links...)
Apart from that I can say you captured the spirit of the thing, added some nice detail and made the turret transversible. My only remark would be to put the jet engines inside the chassis for a cleaner line.
@Dominik : By the way, I'm probably going to use your tank for one of my stories, if I may. (Not that I usually ask permission for these things be we're having a nice conversation so...). Last one was http://imgur.com/a/GJUcr
Very good build, as usual! (I guess we're starting to expect nothing less from the two of you...) Excellent detail and airworthiness without much clipping and XML-tricking (or so it seems), which I prefer. Also, for historical accuracy, I flew the plane with the tail and half a wing shot off. And, with the same degree of accuracy, crashed.
Too bad I didn't have this one when I made my last story. But a fleet of these might soon appear over my Luftwaffe airfield ;)
@Dominik : That time was incredible, yes... I was in East Germany too, I'll never forget. There was this middle age guy, holding an orange and crying because he'd never seen one before. That kind of things... There was this wonderful feeling of liberation and energy. I spent two weeks with a family in Prague (Opatov, near Centralni Park). Been to the blacklight show below Reduta Jazz Club, loved it!
Just -finally- flew your plane. It's great, the detail is excellent (I'm on an iPad, don't expect much ;) and it's nicely stable. (Laudo Authros! Habet optimum aeroplanum! Gratias ;)
@Dominik : VÃtejte pÅ™Ãtel! I haven't been to your country in a while :( but I liked it very much indeed; first time in 1992. That was *so* different from everything I was used to... And I really admired mr. Havel, such a cool guy!
@Scriefers : Okay, now it works. Nice! A lot of retrieving planes from backup ahead of me :(
Very, very nice bird. The detail is incredible and she flies well. This kind of plane is what the game is all about, you deserve to be called a master builder.
@Scriefers : Still no joy. I removed TestFlight (iOS test app) and reinstalled + updated. I'm on 1.2.11.0, which is, AFAIK, the official update.
The plane still won't fly or go faster than about eighty.
I'll remove completely (and lose my planes) and reinstall, see what that does.
@Scriefers : good point, that might be it; I'm still running the beta as the iOS version for my locale hasn't been pushed yet. I'll get back to you on that.
@scriefers and @geebers: I have the same problem; it won't go past 83mph, doesn't generate enough lift and plainly does not take off. Will test other airfields later.
@WalrusAircraft: This is great! Unfortunately I can't play it on my iPad. Have you ever heard of "Battleship Craft" on iOS? About the same as SimplePlanes but with battleships. I have the (hacked) installer online for anyone interested, only jailbroken iOS.
Very good build, sir! You're obviously quite capable, please continue!

Dutch / Belgian border, near Breda
@PhilipTarpley : I heard that. Hmmmmm....
@AndrewGarrison : addendum : Thanks! I didn't know that.

I'm really happy you finished this before I needed it! Can't fly it until tonight, can't wait!
Henschel He123, Fiessler Storch (please!), Me 108, Arado 196. Or, for a challenge, a Marut.
Damn it man, those are all quality builds. And your Me109 has an accurate tendency to crash on takeoff 😀. Ah, please build a Ta154!
@FlOu : this is indeed better.
@Meawk : that whole five-star explanation was how I had started to do things. How somebody else rated was their business. I think the change is good, though.

Wow, this is great! You're really building beautiful planes! Can't wait to fly it.

@Lego2250 : indeed it is! In fact, both this and the Fokker G1 were an inspiration for the P-38.
What is this? Is it a plane? Is it a boat? Do you speak English? (If not, please use your own language but don't write gibberish.)
You've modified a stock plane. Nothing special, are you proud of this?
Okay, it flies. Apart from that, it's not a really functional design.

Very pretty and realistic indeed! I'm just slightly annoyed I'm unable to use this amount of modding on my iPad ;(
@AeroEngineering: That story was a LOT of making screenshots on my iPad and dropboxing 'em to my linux box... You enjoyed it?
