YES! Finally someone who also knows how to build actual good 4 link, you should make a Baja desert runner version that's built more for speed and taking jumps off of dunes, all you really need is some sway bars and maybe some different spring rates etc. this thing is awesome, I aspire to make stuff this detailed some day, but alas, I just make good functioning suspension and I'm satisfied.
Its impressive that it can carry so many weapons but I think it needs some tinkering with to fly better its strange how unstable it is on the pitch axis
THIS IS THE CUT OFF PART OF THE DESCRIPTION: like an unguided bomb, you can drop your missiles onto something if you try. AG1 is the carrier arresting hook, and AG3 is a parachute for landing the ADDF-11 after you've left your wings behind, that's it, enjoy!
So I brought this one back because I've learned a thing or two about suspension tuning since the original and I thought I could improve the old design in a lot of ways and BOY was I right, I greatly improved it, this thing was already a beast, and now it can really rip up the ground, I'm very happy with it.
@Minnererg I suggest checking over connection points making sure everything is connected as it should be, maybe one of the shocks is hard mounted and is connected not to a rotator but straight to the chassis, it would explain the binding, also easiest test you can do is just take the shocks off and see if it compresses with out them, if it does then you know its the shocks connecting weird if it doesn't then check your geometry and make sure parts are free to move.
Oh dude the rolling over has to do with your front suspension, I suggest using double wishbone, what's happening is due to two things, first of all it's way too stiff so you turn, the suspension extends as far as it can and then you roll, a sway bar is a good idea but does nothing if your suspension would rather extend then compress in a turn. Second due to how the suspension doesn't keep the wheel level with the chassis it has no effect on roll, and the chassis can just do as it pleases, if you use independent suspension it will keep the wheel level and when the body rolls so will the wheel and since the wheel will now be up on its edge it will have less traction and will be less likely to roll. All in all your CG is high but that should be ok, it's your suspension that's causing the issue, so redesign the front and make the rear a little less stiff, you want it to sit in it's suspension when resting, not sit on top of it... And I realize that sounds confusing but check out my SCT V5 to get an idea, the handling with that thing is perfect, and the lot of it is due to how it rests in the middle of it's suspension range rather than the top.
Alright I'm dieing, fix the "thanks you" in the description, it's causing me pain, it should just say thank, and also, I have a cool Idea for some builds, just the chassis of this car IRL is pretty, the chassis's of lot of older cars are very pretty and I think we should build ultra realistic chassis's of old sports cars, we can make body's later or see if anyone else wants to make the body's but I think it would be fun to basically have almost the exact chassis's modeled and working perfectly in the game, what do you think?
@Diloph oh I put the countermeasures on there because I was using it to dogfight some jets I have and it could kill them if I could dodge the missiles and get in close so I just put them there to be useful in game for messing around, probably should have removed them though
Wow...16 downloads to 6 upvotes in 1 hour may be my best early upvote to download ratio yet, thanks for that, means a lot for it to be with this pane as well. :]
@SodiumChloride Hold on, the plane IRL, has HAND CRANK landing gear, it was some of the first retractable landing gear ever, defiantly the first used in the war, and it indeed took 40 seconds if you were skilled, to more than 1 minute if you were not very skilled, to put the gear up or down, this is how the real plane was so I decided to make the SP one have these silly slow landing gear, just to replicate this, I believe its actually faster than the ones IRL as well.
Yes ok so then the wing pieces for the sway bar connections is the way to go dang, that works really well, the sway bars are there and do their job but the stiffness isn't too much that it unsettles the chassis, its perfect, I'm so glad that worked, it really drives well, good job.
Nice but it needs left and right breaking in the front to be a true dune buggy, I'd suggest that and possibly a rear sway bar however as it stands it really doesn't need one, it handles fine, I should probably make my own little RWD buggy for multiplayer.
Thanks for the praise, I really made an effort on this one to go all out, my goals are a nice body first so that the chassis has its proper loaded weight then extreme detail just everywhere, and excessive tuning to hopefully get rid of the bump steer.
Btw the bend in the chassis changes the Caster or "tilt" of the suspension and is an adjustment I made to increase the handling not an oversight or flaw, it's there for a reason, I invite you to remove that curve and see if the vechile still handles well after it's straight.
@SkippyTheEngineer ye ye, it's a great truck, I still have it, but it does not look like that anymore, the body is way more beat up, currently it needs a new wheel bearing and one of the two 3s batteries I was using to run it on 6s got punctured and discharged without me knowing so currently it's out of commission but once I can get a new set of 3s batteries, which should be pretty soon I'll definitely be out bashing it again, it's really a fun truck, just needs swaybars.
This thing has some real potential in it, just gotta add the swaybars, for now enjoy the sillyness, everything about how it drives is so exaggerated, it's great.
@Blobfish21 ya, looking back on it it's not that impressive, it just seems to work, and boy oh boy did I brag about this, I think maybe making semi working swaybars got me a bit too excited about it, anyways ignore past me, my more recent uploads are not this bad... I really did just copy and paste the suspension 4 times and put a nose cone on it lol
It's been about two years since I posted this, I have come a long way, probably time to revisit it and redesign the suspension here to make a really well handling on road 8x8 vehicle of some sort.
Update, The body is coming along OK but it ain't going to look like a BMW I'm not good at body's but it will look ok, feel free to make a body of your own.
I went for the nostalgia move for this, I have built a classic style plane, I even still have the old propellers so I used them, it's got no top end but it doesn't slow while turning so likely far from a win but it's worth it for the memories that the sound of the old propeller engines alone brings back.
@Sadboye12 I suggest you check this out if you find this vechile impressive. This is my G1 Racer, it's my best handling car and it makes this silly on road Blazer look heavy and slow.
Because of this, your claim of your vechile handling way better, and it may but only slightly, I redesigned the truck and built an on road version with proper on road suspension, built to truely handle way better. It is stable at 240mph and is linked at the bottom here, it's nothing perfect, I've made much better for on road but I wanted to make the Blazer on road capable and I did, if you wish to try it out I strongly suggest it.
Disclaimer: It really doesn't drift btw it became more of a track car but if you really want to drift take it off road where it has no traction, drifting in this game is hard, it can be done, but this truck is not built for it, the name just stuck.

@Villas ye, its a good plane
@cnorth12 Not off road with only two engines, especially while still handling well.

@Notnoob1000 thanks
@Notnoob1000 realistic solid axle Baja suspension you'd see on some huge lifted Jeep or something, I have plans for it, this is a prototype
@RcAddict cool

Lol, love the tag, it's definitely not an airplane :)
@JonTKocz good to know
@Sm10684 ye ye, this one took some work but its performance was very worth the work
There might be some Easter eggs... Gold tier baby!
Ok this needs more Upvotes Henry...
its a perfect meme and a half of a build, I gotta build one and we gotta have a memed, baja helicopter race in multiplayer
@Diloph oh I put the countermeasures on there because I was using it to dogfight some jets I have and it could kill them if I could dodge the missiles and get in close so I just put them there to be useful in game for messing around, probably should have removed them though

Oh... the top down orthographic view looks amazing
I personally love how this plane looks IRL and in game
lets be clear here, this fly's terribly, the new version is perfect, look for V2!

But little did you know, you have made the legendary,
Minty Sports Truck and god dang does she handle flat through the corners
Nice but it needs left and right breaking in the front to be a true dune buggy, I'd suggest that and possibly a rear sway bar however as it stands it really doesn't need one, it handles fine, I should probably make my own little RWD buggy for multiplayer.

First PC Upload hell ya, this ones going to be o a whole other level than the first scale crawler chassis
@TopCatTC ya slow motion is broken, it makes the shock piece stiffen significantly and can cause a lot of problems
I also put two other modded parts on there really for no reason but just to have them saved somewhere.
This is V2, I forgot to call it V2 lol

If this game had force feed back and you could for instance control a car with a Sim Racing wheel it would be so cool.
The Best performing Bluga thus far, it is god of all propeller fighters
The Bluga-2 platform but with more things that explode, which isn't allways a good thing.
Update, The body is coming along OK but it ain't going to look like a BMW I'm not good at body's but it will look ok, feel free to make a body of your own.
@UltimatePlayer123 ah I see it now. NVM then.
@UltimatePlayer123 Idk, no idea if it's allowed, can't find anything that says it's not though so idk.

Oh btw one of the links works like a sway bar keeping the rear axle fairly level.
It deserves the M3 compition body I am building for it but for now, enjoy the chassis, it's great.
Uploading with screenshots needs to be a thing again, RIP Mods - 2019
@Sadboye12 I suggest you check this out if you find this vechile impressive. This is my G1 Racer, it's my best handling car and it makes this silly on road Blazer look heavy and slow.
