@Shmexysmpilot I'll post it later once I get its ordinance in order. I'm working on torpedoes and buzz-bombs on the side. I actually have three, but the one I'm working on mainly needs a good boost to maneuverability, but I'm thinking of scrapping it in favor of the one it came from, but either way, I'll get something to you.
@jamesPLANESii Could you put it all in one comment, pls? It's kinda' awkward to respond to three comments that all tie into one paragraph. But aye! I've done all of these things. If you'll notice, all of these things are practiced in my other aircraft.
That can't make a full circle in less that 8 seconds...
I just need to know how to make a plane more agile without throwing itself around like a gorilla in a swimming pool.
@Shmexysmpilot Aye, it just.. .Flops out of control. Usually I have the two about 1-2 units away form each-other (block length), but it's still hard to keep its trim in-line. As for the CoT, that's why I've been moving towards aircraft with a more centralized design, if that makes sense. Engines near the center, wings near the center, mass near the center, big happy family, and it works well, but it still doesn't get me anywhere. The only way I can make the aircraft turn a bit faster is by setting the trim in that direction or make the aircraft incredibly unstable and unpleasant to fly.
@Shmexysmpilot They usually have both. The issue with the CoM and CoL positions, however, is through some kind of discrepancy or whatever-- whenever my aircraft's centers are in line like they should be, as close to eachother as possible---- the plane... Has a seizure upon takeoff. Doesn't matter the size, wing shape, placement-- nothing. It WILL have a heart-attack and die.
Now that is one good lookin' plane. I really like the sort of late-war airframe, early-war paint scheme German motif you've got going. Did you use the tweak mod, or can a vanilla gorilla like me make something this good lookin'?
@AudioDud3 I sure hope so, thank you! :D Tell me-- how easy was it for you to hover? I'm not that good a VTOL pilot, so I'm curious if you were able to go from full speed to a hover like this craft is supposed to.
@Delphinidae @Delphinus
Well thank ya'll very much~!! I always try and make my aircraft as user-friendly as possible. It was especially difficult with this one, but hopefully as time goes on, I can make it the best EMS VTOL out there!
@Tully2001 To be fair to the first idea, there it is possible to make a glider that's just that fast. I like the second one, though-- another way would just be to immediately ban the craft upon its discovery in the tournament. Like-- have someone moderating the stream. Should any shakers pop in, delete that plane and begin a new bracket.
@DahezDefalt Danke, mein freund! Gotta' ask, which plane do you enjoy that most? I know I make mostly if not only Avian aircraft anymore, but I'm world-building XD
@Geekpride Oh, so you did ruin the tournament for people who wanted to do it legit. Alright, look-- I'm sick of talking to you. Your point is mute, and yes. I am accusing you of cheating. Get over it.
@Geekpride TL;DR - you think I have time for you?? No. Go away. Why are you even looking for an argument at this point? nobody cares.
@FlyingFanatic You two are really argumentative. Besides, it's already too late! I've won and shakers were deemed unfair and banned from the next glider tournament. Just because it's an unlimited race doesn't mean it's not a glider race. It'a glider course and therefor considered a glider race. Get over yourselves. And might I remind you, Fanatic, you too are in violation for harassment.
Leave me alone, both of you, get over yourselves and realize shakers were a cheat. Even Garrison agrees.
Don't go around falunting "Oh he's a dev, I'ma tell on you! you're in violation! Yadayadayada" because that's not going to fly with me. Grow up, shut up and go away. I've tried humoring you, but I'm, done.
@marcox43 I like your idea a lot. A library of maneuvers for the AI to use! Genius! It'd be simple enough to code, considering what else Jundroo's done with the game.
Something I'd like to add- and this is going to be difficult to code, but it is possible-- is allow the AI enough freedom to choose a defensive/offensive stance depending on the stats of the AI's own plane VS. yours.
This would tie in with another suggestion many have sallied forth-- basic flight information like turn times, climb rate and maximum G-forces pulled.
@FlyingFanatic I'll refer you back to the definition of an engine, since yo uobviously skipped over it.
en·gine
ˈenjən/Submit
noun
1.
a machine with moving parts that converts power into motion.
Shakers move. It's very obvious these glitches cause parts to move, and the power of said glitch causes momentum. They do, in fact, gain power from a form of engine. A shaker is very obviously not a glider. Now, you can do one of two things: Pick this beach to die on and argue a mute point (especially now shakers are banned form glider tournaments, you can thank me later), or go find someone like #Geekpride who gives half a hell, and brush up on your definitions while you're at it. Ask Webster if you must-- he's a reliable source.
EDIT: And just a tip... Seeing as you haven't even been here a week, I'd refrain from arguing with people unless you want to look incredibly useless. This is not a good start on this site for you.
@Geekpride I don't get what point you'r arguing. Mine was the fact that shakers are not gliders and don't belong in races designed for gliders. Yours seems to be irrelevant.
@Geekpride You're still on this...? Garrison's outlawed shakers in the next glider tournament. Frankly, your argument has just been deemed totally invalid. Just give up, you're starting to annoy me.
@exosuit A shaker is an aircraft that have just been popularized in the latest glider tournament. It is a craft with a series of wing along each side of the aircraft, where each wing has another directly below it. Each wing has a special weight, and as the aircraft begins to move, it fluctuates and glitches violently. This can go one of two ways. If you do it incorrectly, the plane either crashes or explodes. If you do it right, you can complete glider tournament courses in less that 30 seconds.
@Sauce You're a very rude person, you know that? .-.
@AndrewGarrison I understand. Thank you so much for considering this PoV and hearing us out! I really appreciate this.
@Sauce You're obviously to intent on patronizing me to understand my point. How's about instead of talking down to me, your approach this matter with some level of echelon or tact and understand my point.
A tournament:
tour·na·ment
ˈtərnəmənt,ˈto͝ornəmənt/Submit
noun
1.
(in a sport or game) a series of contests between a number of competitors, who compete for an overall prize.
This is true of the shakers, they certainly compete for a prize. But may I remind you that it is a glider class tournament.
Glider:
glid·er
ˈɡlīdər/
noun
1.
a light aircraft that is designed to fly for long periods without using an engine.
The definition of an engine is as follows:
en·gine
ˈenjən/Submit
noun
1.
a machine with moving parts that converts power into motion.
Shakers use a form of engine. Therefor, they are not gliders in function.
The tournament was for the glider class.
And class is defined as this:
class
klas/Submit
noun
1.
a set or category of things having some property or attribute in common and differentiated from others by kind, type, or quality.
"A set category" and not "because it wins the race on a technicality".
I'm frustrated because gliders had no chance to win in a glider tournament.
Get it through your thick, pretentious membrane that shakers, by definition and by function, are not gliders.
You cannot argue with definition.

Please... You lied. You sit on a throne of lies, Alex. A THRONE OF LIES.
I've seen uglier!! -10/10, not enough 90's gross-out humor.
But nah it's not the beeeeeest looking :P
@Flyboy360 Ayyye likewise, brother~!! Same goes for everyone, though~ I wanna see all ya'll up there~
What encouraging comments . 3 .
@FlyingFanatic Lol I wish I could. I would, but I dunno how . 3 .
@Blue0Bull Sounds like fun :D
@bspboy Aayyyeeeem same! Good luck my friend! God bless your grades x3
@Blue0Bull I'm IN Co Springs XD It's a modern city. The towns to the west of us up in the mountains are the boonies you're thinking of, lol.
@AudioDud3 Oh, wonderful! I'll keep at it! Maybe I could design a trainer :O
@AudioDud3 I sure hope so, thank you! :D Tell me-- how easy was it for you to hover? I'm not that good a VTOL pilot, so I'm curious if you were able to go from full speed to a hover like this craft is supposed to.

@ErvenDynamics Thank you :D I'm thinking of making a VTOL cargo/rescue version next.
Aye, Avia commends you for your prowess! She looks forward to great things from you.
@Testin123 I'm doin' A-okay~ Just haven't had much to build.
Okay... That's a good plane. I especially like how you did the landing gear.
@SkyborneFox Derpy thumbs up
@SkyborneFox Thaaat is true.... Yeeeaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh otter.exe has started reevaluating his aircraft quality assurance
@SkyborneFox Alas, nah. I don't use Tele D:
@SkyborneFox :OOO Amazing!! Keep in touch, bro! Got a Steam ID?
@DahezDefalt I think I found you. Have I?
@DahezDefalt You're awful loud . 3 . I respect that. Got a SteamID?
@DahezDefalt You're a lizard. Tell me about that. Larry King otter
@Tully2001 That'd work.
@Tully2001 That's true--- Fair enough, yeah.
@Tully2001 To be fair to the first idea, there it is possible to make a glider that's just that fast. @DahezDefalt Speak lizard! Yu too timid! Makes for poor conversation :U
Korean reprimand ensues
@AndrewGarrison Already done! :D Thank you, sir.
@DahezDefalt Danke, mein freund! Gotta' ask, which plane do you enjoy that most? I know I make mostly if not only Avian aircraft anymore, but I'm world-building XD
@marcox43 I think it would easily make the AI significantly more tricky and exciting to fight.
@Geekpride Oh, so you did ruin the tournament for people who wanted to do it legit. Alright, look-- I'm sick of talking to you. Your point is mute, and yes. I am accusing you of cheating. Get over it.
@DahezDefalt So, why do you ask? :3
Sir Topham Hatt's evil twin's goal: CAUSING MINOR DELAYS AND VARIOUS INCONVENIENCES!!! THE WORLD WILL BE PEEVED!!!
@Geekpride TL;DR - you think I have time for you?? No. Go away. Why are you even looking for an argument at this point? nobody cares.

@DahezDefalt Calm yourself, I'm just being cheeky XD I am a furry if you must know :P
Already said a lotta' this. Glad it's getting more exposure here :3 AI is in dire need of education.

@KDS Nah, I wasn't taken. I TOOK THE ILLUMINATI!! inception explosions
@DahezDefalt 'Suspose you could say. I am an otter after all. We're naturally very furry creatures . 3 .
@spefyjerbf That's what I'm all about. Never been into the far-reaching sci-fi. Too convenient.

I'ma sign up~ Is a scale model acceptable? I work on colonial ship concepts irl, but none of them fit in SP, let alone could I run them XD
